    Attention Shareholders: Nepal SBI Bank Calls for Collection of Unclaimed Dividends


    Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) has released a notification calling upon its shareholders to retrieve outstanding dividends that remain uncollected. The announcement highlights that certain investors have yet to claim dividends allocated during the fiscal year 2074/75. The dividend disbursement took place in the aforementioned fiscal year when the bank distributed cash dividends to its shareholders.

    To facilitate the retrieval process, the bank is urging shareholders who have not yet availed themselves of their dividend entitlements to visit Nepal SBI Merchant Banking, located in Thamel, within the next month. To complete the claim, investors are required to present valid identification or their share certificates along with proof of identity.

    As of the latest update, the Last Traded Price (LTP) for SBI stands at Rs. 322. This initiative aims to ensure that all shareholders receive their due dividends, emphasizing the importance of timely collection to those who may have overlooked or not yet claimed their share of the fiscal year 2074/75 dividend distribution.

    On Tuesday, September 30, 2023, Nepal SBI Bank (SBI) and the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) signed an agreement to list 9 Percent Debenture 2089 (NSBD98). As part of the agreement, 1,418,366 units of these debentures will be listed at a par value of Rs. 1000 per unit. Trading of these shares is expected to commence on Wednesday.

    The issue management for this listing was handled by NMB Capital Limited. The shares were officially listed on NEPSE on September 30, 2023, in accordance with existing regulations.

    Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) has decided to extend the public offering period for the “9% Nepal SBI Bank Debenture 2089.” The initial opening of the offering took place on the 18th of Shrawan, 2080, and the original closing date was today, the 22nd of Shrawan. As the offering has not garnered complete subscription, the deadline has now been pushed back to the 31st of Shrawan.

    In this offering, a total of 20 lakh units are up for grabs, each priced at Rs. 1000. Among these, 12 lakh units (60% of the total) will be allocated through private placement, while the remaining 8 lakh units, valued at Rs. 80 Crores, are available for public subscription. Of this public portion, 5% is set aside for mutual funds. The issuance aims to raise a total of Rs. 2 Arba.

    On the 25th of Poush, 2079, the company held its 29th AGM for the fiscal year 2078/79. For fiscal year 2078/79, the board of directors approved a 10.53% dividend of Rs. 1.03 Arba. On Mangsir 12, 2079, the 492nd board of directors decided to distribute a 10.53% dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 9,82,58,53,113, with 3% bonus shares worth Rs. 29,47,75,594 and 7.53% cash dividend (including tax) worth Rs 73,98,86,735 endorsed. NEPSE now lists the same bonus shares.
