    Gold has reached a new record high in Nepal, with the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA) reporting that it is being traded at Rs. 1 lakh 13 thousand 600 per tola. This represents an increase of Rs. 500 compared to the previous day’s price. Just a day before, on Jestha 19, the price of gold had already reached an all-time high of Rs. 1 lakh 13 thousand 300 per tola.

    On the day before, the price of gold had risen by Rs. 600 to reach Rs. 1 lakh 13 thousand 100. The upward trend in gold prices has been remarkable in recent days, leading to these consecutive record highs.

    As for silver, its price also saw an increase on Thursday, reaching Rs. 1495 per tola, which is Rs. 5 more than the previous day’s price of Rs. 1,490 per tola.

    In the international market, the price of gold has been trading at $1979.82 per ounce on Thursday, after remaining steady at $1974.44 an ounce on Wednesday. Similarly, silver was priced at $24.99 per ounce on Wednesday and experienced a slight rise to $25.1 on Thursday.

    The surging prices of gold and silver in both the local and international markets have drawn attention from investors and traders, indicating a trend of increasing precious metal prices in the current economic scenario.

    As of mid-June 2023, there was a total outstanding concessional loan of Rs. 203.10 billion given to 147,510 borrowers. Out of this amount, Rs. 139.68 billion was provided to 61,235 borrowers for selected commercial agriculture and livestock businesses. Additionally, Rs. 60.46 billion was given as loans to 83,455 women entrepreneurs. In other specified sectors, a total of Rs. 2.97 billion in concessional loans was availed by 2,820 borrowers.

    During the same period, the NEPSE index, which measures the performance of the Nepal Stock Exchange, was recorded at 2042.07. This figure showed an increase compared to its value of 1996.26 in mid-June 2022.

    TRH, the operator of Hyatt Regency Hotel, has also experienced growth in investments, increasing them by 27% and reaching a total investment value of Rs. 1.32 Arba.

    Furthermore, the company has witnessed a significant increase in revenue from its operations, with a rise of 116.64% to Rs. 90.61 crores in the third quarter of the current fiscal year, contributing to its overall profitability.

    With a paid-up capital of Rs. 1.88 Arba, TRH has added 82.79% to its reserves, amounting to Rs. 51.39 crores, indicating a favorable financial position for the company.

    TRH maintains an impressive Earning per Share (EPS) of Rs. 16.88, surpassing the previous EPS of Rs. 2.93.

    Similarly, Taragaon Regency Hotel boasts a Net Worth per Share of Rs. 127.24 and a Price per Earning (P/E) Ratio of 27.55 times.

    Meanwhile, the closing price of the company’s shares stood at Rs. 465 at the end of the third quarter of the current fiscal year.

    According to the report, a mutual fund’s Net Assets Value (NAV) fell slightly from Rs. 9.18 to Rs. 9.19. The program, which began with a sum of Rs. 82 crores, has invested Rs. 48.38 crores in listed company shares and Rs. 4.91 crores in non-listed company shares. This program invested Rs. 3 crores in fixed-income assets, Rs. 15.86 crores in debentures, and Rs. 3.4 crores in bank balance.
