    Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Limited (RNLI) has recently announced a noteworthy 4.97% increase in its net profit, reaching Rs. 23.09 crore in the current quarter, as opposed to Rs. 22 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company, with a paid-up capital of Rs. 4 Arba and a share premium of Rs. 1.75 Arba, has demonstrated financial stability, boasting Rs. 1.23 Arba in retained earnings, Rs. 5.56 Crores in other equity, and Rs. 14.37 Crores in catastrophe reserves. Additionally, RNLI maintains a life insurance fund of Rs. 8.54 Arba.

    Operationally, RNLI has shown resilience with a 1.74% increase in net premiums, totaling Rs. 1.75 Arba in Q2 FY 2080/81 compared to the previous year. The company’s financial acumen is highlighted by its ability to generate Rs. 63.90 Crores from income derived from investments, loans, and other financial activities. However, it’s important to note that there was a 21.85% increase in net claims during the quarter, amounting to Rs. 1.63 Arba.

    Siddhartha Premier Insurance Limited (SPIL) has proposed an 11% cash dividend totaling Rs. 30.87 Crores for the fiscal year 2079/80.

    In a decision made during the 19th board of directors meeting on Magh 21, SPIL announced the distribution of an 11% cash dividend, inclusive of tax, amounting to Rs. 30.87 crores. The company’s current paid-up capital stands at Rs. 2.80 Arba.

    However, the approval of the cash dividend is pending, awaiting the nod from the Nepal Insurance Authority and the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

    Dordi Khola Hydropower Company Limited (DORDI) has selected Sanima Capital Limited as the exclusive issue manager for its upcoming 1:1 ratio rights issue, according to an announcement from the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

    In the upcoming rights issue, the hydropower company plans to issue 10,542,604 (1:1) units of right shares, equal to 100% of its existing shares, to its current shareholders. Currently, the company’s paid-up capital stands at Rs. 1.05 Arba, and the proposed right share issuance aims to significantly boost the financial structure, bringing the paid-up capital to Rs. 2.11 Arba after the adjustment of 1.05 crores units.

    Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited (NIMB) has released an offer letter announcing the issuance of 40,40,000 units of “10% NIMB Debenture 2090” to the general public. This debenture comes with a 10-year maturity period and a 10% coupon rate, and the application period is set from 1st Falgun to 4th Falgun, 2080. In case of undersubscription, the deadline may be extended to Falgun 15, 2080.

    The units, valued at Rs. 1000 each, will amount to a total of 40.40 lakh units. Of these, 60%, equivalent to 24.24 lakh units, will be subscribed through private placement. The remaining 16.16 lakh units, valued at Rs. 1.61 Arba, will be available for public issuance. Additionally, 5%, or 80.80 thousand units, will be allocated for mutual funds. The total fund raised from this issuance is anticipated to be Rs. 4.40 Arba.

With the inclusion of bonus shares, the enhanced paid-up capital will amount to Rs. 3.39 Crores.

    In the 188th board meeting on Magh 12, ALICL’s directors proposed the distribution of 7.75% bonus shares valued at Rs. 24.45 crores. Additionally, a 0.4078% cash dividend, intended for tax purposes, will be disbursed, totaling slightly over Rs. 1.28 crores.

    The price of fine gold has dropped by Rs. 600 per tola, as reported by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA). Currently, fine gold is traded at Rs. 1,18,900 per tola, down from the Saturday closing price of Rs. 1,19,500 per tola.

    Similarly, Tejabi gold is available at Rs. 1,18,350 per tola today, reflecting a decrease of Rs. 600 compared to the Saturday closing price of Rs. 1,18,950 per tola.

    Out of the total 13,636,370 units of shares listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) by MANDU, 5 percent, equivalent to 72,133 unit shares, were specifically allocated for Mutual Funds. However, only 22,935 units were subjected to the lock-in period according to SEBON’s directives issued on Kartik 25. The recent notice informs investors and stakeholders that the lock-in period for these 22,935 unit shares has concluded as of Falgun 23.
