    In the Nepalese market, the price of gold has reached an all-time high. The gain for today is the result of a Rs. 1200 single-day gain from yesterday’s price.

    According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association’s official website, fine gold is currently trading at Rs. 107,500 per tola. Yesterday, the rate remained unchanged at Rs. 106,300 per tola. Meanwhile, Tejabi gold is currently trading at Rs. 107,000. In contrast, the rate was kept at Rs. 105,800 per tola yesterday.

    The Securities Exchange Board of Nepal (SEBON) has approved Dolti Power Company Limited and Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited’s proposed initial public offering (IPO). On Magh 16, both proposals were approved.

    Dolti Power Company will now issue 1,609,458 equity shares with NPR 100 par value each. The issue is worth Rs. 16.09 crore. This is equivalent to 30% of the company’s issued capital. The company’s total paid-up capital after the IPO allotment would be Rs 53.64 crore.

Yesterday, the rate was maintained at Rs. 105,800 per tola. Meanwhile, Tejabi gold is being traded at Rs. 105,800 today. In contrast, the rate was maintained yesterday at Rs. 105,300 per tola.

    Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower Limited has closed the issue of its initial public offering (IPO) to Nepalese citizens working abroad as of today’s banking hours, Magh 18, and has extended the IPO issue deadline for project-affected locals until 4th Falgun, 2079. The issue had begun on the 4th of Magh, 2079.

    The company’s issued capital is Rs. 3.33 Arba, of which 10%, or 33,32,500 unit shares worth Rs. 10 crores, have been allocated to project-affected Taplejung District residents. Meanwhile, 15% of the company’s issued capital, or 49,98,750 unit shares, will be made available to the general public later.     Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) has posted a decline in net profit by 9.31% in the second quarter (Q2) of the current FY 2079/80. The profit decreased to Rs. 5.96 crores in this quarter from Rs. 6.57 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

    RURU has sales revenue worth Rs. 9.15 crores, which has declined by 8.13% in this quarter.

    For the fiscal year 2078/79, Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) has proposed a 5% dividend worth Rs. 70.87 lakhs.

    The board of directors decided to distribute a 5% dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 14.17 crores at its 79th meeting on March 16. A cash dividend of 0.25% and 4.75% bonus shares (for tax purposes) have been proposed. Thus, the bonus shares are worth slightly more than Rs. 67.32 lakhs, and the cash dividend is worth slightly more than Rs. 3.54 lakhs.
