    SEBON Approves IPO Issue of 5 Companies; Hathway Investment Nepal to Raise Rs. 14.62 Crores

    The Securities Exchange Board of Nepal (SEBON) has given its approval for the initial public offering (IPO) of five different companies. One of them, Hathway Investment Nepal Limited, plans to issue 29.25 lakh shares at a par value of Rs. 50 per share. This will raise approximately Rs. 14.62 crores for the company, which accounts for 12.5% of its total issued capital. Currently, Hathway Investment Nepal has a paid-up capital of Rs. 1.02 Arba, and after the IPO allotment, it will increase to Rs. 1.17 Arba. Global IME Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for this IPO. The proposal received SEBON’s approval on Ashad 17.

The week ended with the NEPSE index closing at 2,150.99, marking a gain of 95.46 points or 4.64%. In the previous week, the index closed at 2,055.53, experiencing a 0.66% gain compared to the week before. Throughout the week, the index reached a high of 2,204.93 and a low of 2,057.37, showing a volatility of 147.56 points. The previous week had a lower volatility of 78.65 points.

The city aims to prioritize investment by providing a minimum of 70 percent grant to classified land based on production. This initiative will also involve distributing agriculture production materials and equipment to support farmers in their agricultural endeavors.

    Throughout the week, the index demonstrated volatility, reaching a high of 2,066.99 points and a low of 1,941.76 points. This indicates a fluctuation of 125.23 points, compared to 84.84 points in the previous week. Technical analysis suggests a bullish trend in both the short-term and mid-term.

    The highest intraday gain occurred on Sunday, with a remarkable increase of 40.48 points and a turnover of Rs 3.45 Arba. The total turnover for the week amounted to Rs 18.64 Arba.

    The NEPSE index concluded the trading day at 1,987.87, registering a gain of 7.79 points or 0.39% compared to the previous day’s closing. The index had experienced a significant increase of 40.48 points in the previous session.

    The day started with the index opening at 1,984.36 and reaching an intraday high of 2,003.25. However, it also dipped to a low of 1,972.00 before ultimately closing at 1,987.87.

    In terms of trading activity, 285 scrips were traded through 49,944 transactions. The total shares exchanged amounted to 7,454,007, with a turnover of Rs. 2.88 Arba. This figure represented a decrease compared to the turnover of Rs. 3.45 Arba recorded in the previous trading day.

    Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) accounted for the highest turnover of Rs. 15.28 crores, with its market price closing at Rs. 375.30 per share. The shares of SSHL were the most actively traded.

    Five scrips experienced a significant gain of 10%, reaching the positive circuit during the day’s trading activities. On the other hand, Prabhu Smart Fund (PRSF) incurred a loss of 10% during the session.

    Among the sector indices, six closed in the green, with the “Hotels and Tourism” sector gaining the highest at 10.78%. However, the “Finance” sector recorded the highest loss of 0.96% during the day’s trading activities.

    This week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) had only four trading days as Monday was a holiday due to Republic Day. At the end of the week, the NEPSE index closed at 1,866.34, experiencing a loss of 92.78 points or -4.74%. In the previous week, the index had closed at 1,959.12, showing a gain of 4.36% compared to the week before.

    Throughout the week, the NEPSE index reached a high of 1,977.36 and a low of 1,837.43, indicating a volatility of 139.93 points. In the previous week, the volatility was 96.44 points. The largest intraday gain occurred on Tuesday, with an increase of 53.16 points and a turnover of Rs. 2.3 Arba. The total turnover for the week amounted to Rs. 8.95 Arba. In terms of trading volume, more than 2.89 crore unit shares were traded through 155,123 transactions.

    The current market capitalization of NEPSE stands at Rs. 2,74,651.40 million, which is equivalent to Rs. 27.24 Kharba. Despite the shortened trading week, the NEPSE experienced fluctuations and ended with a significant decrease in its index value.

    The trading day began with an opening value of 1,850.79 for the index, and it reached its lowest point at 1,837.24 during intraday trading. On the other hand, it reached a peak of 1,877.00 before settling at 1,866.34 at the end of the day.

    A total of 272 scrips were traded through 29,922 transactions. The trading volume amounted to 6,128,621 shares, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 1.65 Arba. It is important to note that this turnover was lower than the previous trading day’s turnover of Rs. 2.31 Arba.

    Joshi Hydropower Development Company Ltd (JOSHI) showed the highest increase for the day, with a gain of 6.94%. Conversely, Sunrise Focused Equity Fund (SFEF) experienced the highest decline, losing 6% during the trading day.

    All sector indices concluded the day on a positive note, with the “Non-Life Insurance” sector experiencing the highest gain of 1.93%. The “Mutual Fund” sector had the smallest gain of 0.06% on the day.

    Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBBL) recently listed 2,55,655.77 unit bonus shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). The company held its 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 17th of Falgun, during which it approved a dividend of 15.789% for the fiscal year 2078/79.

    In addition to the dividend, the board of directors, in its 231st meeting on Poush 28, decided to distribute 15% bonus shares valued at Rs. 2.55 crores and a cash dividend of 0.789473681%, amounting to Rs. 13.45 lakhs. These dividends were distributed from MLBBL’s paid-up capital of Rs. 17.04 crores. Now, these bonus shares have been officially listed on NEPSE.

    As of the time of writing, the Last Traded Price (LTP) of MLBBL’s shares on NEPSE stands at Rs. 750.

In the previous week, the index had experienced a gain of 2.11% from the week before that.

    Throughout the week, the NEPSE index recorded a high of 1,962.55 and a low of 1,866.11, resulting in a volatility of 96.44 points. Comparatively, the previous week had witnessed a volatility of 75.16 points. The fluctuation in the index indicates a certain level of market volatility and movement in stock prices throughout the trading days of the week.

    On the other hand, Sanima Equity Fund (SAEF) recorded the highest loss of 3.77% during the trading session.

    While the “Manufacturing And Processing” sector index registered the highest gain of 4.69%, the “Finance” sector index experienced the highest decline of 0.45% at the closing of the market.
