These changes will involve updates to the regulations related to registering and removing hydropower companies.

    Hydropower companies often raise capital by selling shares to the public. However, concerns have arisen when these companies prioritize profits over their intended goals. To address this, SEBON is thinking about introducing new provisions to ensure that the registration and removal of hydropower companies are more organized and transparent.

    NMB Bank Ltd issued 40 lakh units of Debenture totaling Rs. 4,00,00,00,000 under the issue and sales management of NIBL Ace Capital Limited (Four Arba Rupees Only). The debenture has a 10-year term and pays 10.75% interest per year.

    KBL’s existing promoters have started auctioning off their 2,96,000 unit promoter stake. The auction began on the 16th of Falgun and was scheduled to end tomorrow, on the 30th of Falgun, 2079. Nevertheless, because the auction organizer received insufficient applications, the sale has been extended until Chaitra 6.

    Individual investors, businesses, and institutions can all bid in an auction. The minimum bid is Rs. 119. The promoters’ shares have a minimum bid quantity of 10,000 units. Although bidders may bid for the full issue, they must follow the Nepal Rastra Bank’s guideline not to bid more than once.

    The second quarter (Q2) of the current FY 2079/80 had a net profit decline of 33.12% for Supermai Hydropower Limited (SMHL). From Rs. 7.50 crores in the same quarter last year, the earnings dropped to Rs. 5.0184 crores this quarter.

    This quarter’s net profit decreased as a result of a fall in sales income and an increase in finance expenses.

    In this quarter, the company generated total revenue of Rs. 13.93 crores, a reduction of 6.27% over the same quarter of the previous year.

    With a share capital of 40 crore rupees, it has a reserve fund of 5.30 crore rupees. Its net worth per share is Rs 113.26, and its yearly earnings per share are Rs 25.09.

    The company reported a total income from power sales amounting to Rs. 19.33 crores in this quarter, and income from other sources amounting to Rs 5.26 Lakhs for the second quarter (Q2) for the Fiscal Year 2079/2080.

    In this quarter, HDL reported a decline in sales revenue by 18.00%. The revenue decreased to Rs. 2.76 Arba compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. On the other hand, the other income of the company has increased by 473.32% coming up to Rs. 61.46 Lakhs.

Tadi Khola (5 MW) and Mistri Khola (42 MW) generate revenue from electricity sales, which are invoiced to Nepal Electricity Authority under the terms of the PPA until Poush end 2079.
