    Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited (SALICO) has put forward a proposal to issue a 5% cash dividend for the fiscal year 2079/80. The decision to distribute this dividend was made during the 18th meeting of the board of directors held on Falgun 14. The proposed cash dividend is based on the existing paid-up capital of SALICO, which stands at Rs. 2.62 Arba.

    It’s important to note that this dividend proposal is contingent upon approval from both the Nepal Insurance Authority and the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).     Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited (SALICO) has listed 26,226,382 shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) following a successful merger between Lumbini General Insurance Limited (LGIL) and Sagarmatha Insurance Company Limited (SIC).

    The merger agreement between SIC and LGIL was signed on 30 Ashad, 2079. The swap ratio for the merger was set at 100:80, resulting in a 20% decrease in the number of LGIL shareholders. After the merger, the total listed shares of SIC and LGIL combined amounted to 26,226,382 units.

    Following the successful merger, SIC and LGIL began conducting joint operations under the name Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited (SALICO) starting from Falgun 29, 2079. Consequently, the listed shares will be traded under the symbol “SALICO.”

    The opening price range for the initial transactions has been set at Rs. 599.12.

    On 11th Falgun, the firm held its 26th AGM and approved a 13.0579% dividend for fiscal year 2078/79. The board of directors resolved to distribute 12.40% bonus shares and 0.6526% cash dividend on Rs. 1.33 Arba paid-up capital. NEPSE now lists the same bonus shares.

    Similarly, Lumbini General Insurance Company Limited (LGIL) has 9,17,644.50 unit bonus shares listed on NEPSE.

    On 11th Falgun, the business had its 18th AGM and approved a 6.99% bonus share worth Rs. 9.17 crore and a 0.3679% cash dividend worth Rs. 48.29 crore on a paid-up capital of Rs. 1.31 Arba for the fiscal year 2078/79.

    Following the IPO, the company’s paid-up capital will be Rs. 1.12 Arba. Moreover, the promoter-public share ratio would be 51: 49.
