    Apart from standard financial reports, the AGM approved a taxation proposal of 3.325% bonus shares and 0.17% cash dividend. According to the media announcement, the company’s paid-up capital would increase to Rs 1.22 arba.

    Sagarmatha Jalvidyut Company Limited’s initial public offering (IPO) was completed today at Prabhu Capital Limited’s Kamaladi headquarters.

    Out of the total 43,68,000 units authorized for the general public, 10%, or 436,800 units, have already been issued and distributed to Nepalese people working abroad, 5%, or 218,400 units, have been put aside for mutual funds, and 3%, or 131,040 units, have been set aside for firm workers.

     

    The remaining 35,81,760 units were distributed to the general population between the 8th and 12th Chaitra, 2079.

    Following the IPO, the company’s paid-up capital will be Rs. 1.12 Arba. Moreover, the promoter-public share ratio would be 51: 49.

    The problem has received 13,93,153 genuine applications.

    The company’s issued capital is Rs. 2.9 Arba, of which 10%, or 29,00,000 unit shares worth Rs. 29 crores, have been allocated to project-affected Parbat District residents. Meanwhile, 15% of the company’s issued capital, or 43,50,000 unit shares, will be made available to the general public later.     Through 26,434 transactions, 254 scrips changed hands. A total of 2,750,655 shares were traded, totaling Rs. 89.95 crores in turnover. This exceeds the previous trading day’s turnover of Rs. 81.62 Crores.

    “Mega Mutual Fund 1” is a closed-end fund with a 10-year maturity period. The fund size for the initial issue was Rs. 1.25 Arba.

    The fund has invested Rs. 83.86 crores in Falgun’s listed shares. Non-listed shares were worth Rs. 3.66 crores, and fixed deposits were worth Rs. 10 crores. The fund has bank deposits worth Rs. 3.30 crores and other assets worth Rs. 2.39 crores.

    A total of 9,00,000 promoter shares will be auctioned off. Individual investors, businesses, and institutions can all bid in an auction. The minimum bid is Rs. 130. The promoters’ shares have a minimum bid quantity of 1000 units. Although bidders may bid for the entire issue, they must follow the Nepal Rastra Bank’s rule of not exceeding the specified number of shares per entity.

    According to a report published by the Nepal Insurance Authority, Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited collected Rs. 24.37 Arba on its own, with 978,626 active insurance policies as of Falgun, 2079.

    Gurans Life Insurance Company Limited (GLICL) has scheduled its 13th Annual General Meeting for the 6th of Baisakh, 2080. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. that day at the company’s headquarters in Tinkune, Kathmandu.

    Among the other items on the agenda, the AGM will approve 13.2712772% bonus shares for fiscal year 2078/79. The Board of Directors decided on Chaitra 09 to distribute 13.2712772% bonus shares for fiscal year 2077/78. The dividend will be paid from the company’s paid-up capital of Rs. 2,23,93,70,000. The bonus shares are thus worth Rs. 29,71,93,000. Pass the resolution to amend the Articles of Association to reflect the increased capital of the company as a result of the issuance of bonus shares.
