    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index marked a modest gain of 0.62%, adding 12.29 points to settle at 1,984.43 points by the closing bell today, bouncing back from the previous session’s loss of 19.56 points.

    Commencing at 1,972.92, the trading day displayed fluctuations, hitting an intraday high of 1,984.46 before sliding to an intraday low of 1,953.29.

    In a vibrant trading atmosphere, 310 different stocks were traded in 47,117 transactions. The total share volume amounted to 6,393,245, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 2.25 Arba. Market capitalization wrapped up at Rs. 31.46 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.63 Kharba.

    Gurkhas Finance Ltd. (GUFL) took the spotlight, registering a turnover of Rs. 10.21 Crore and closing at a market price of Rs. 787.10.

    Likewise, Dolti Power Company Limited (DOLTI) recorded the highest gain of 9.88%, trailed by NIC ASIA Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL) with an 8.47% increase.

    On the flip side, People’s Power Limited (PPL) witnessed a downturn, dropping 7.46% to conclude at Rs. 608.

    Regarding sectors, two sector indices ended in the red, with the “Manufacturing And Processing Index” leading with a 1.90% gain. However, the “Mutual Fund Index” saw a dip of 0.43%.

    NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL) has proposed a 15% cash dividend for the fiscal year 2079/80. In a recent board of directors meeting held on Kartik 01, the decision was made to distribute the entire dividend in cash. The company’s paid-up capital stands at Rs. 1.73 Arba, and this dividend payout amounts to a little over Rs. 26.09 Crores.

    It’s important to note that the distribution of this cash dividend is subject to approval by the central bank and endorsement by the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). As of the time of this announcement, NICLBSL’s Last Traded Price (LTP) is at Rs. 615.

    Comparatively, in the preceding fiscal year (2078/79), the company had disbursed a cash dividend of 14.75%. This proposed increase in the dividend percentage signals the company’s commitment to rewarding its shareholders, pending the necessary regulatory approvals and shareholder consensus at the upcoming AGM.

    NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL) has scheduled its 5th Annual General Meeting for 10th Baisakh, 2080. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. that day in Hotel Gajur Palace – Hotel in Dharan, Sunsari.

    Among the other items on the agenda, the AGM will approve a 14.75% cash dividend for fiscal year 2078/79. The board of directors decided to pay out the entire dividend in cash at their meeting on Falgun 21. Because the company’s paid-up capital is Rs. 1,73,94,40,000, the cash dividend is worth slightly more than Rs. 25,65,67,400.

    The Vijaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (VLBS) transaction has been halted, according to the official notice of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), since the business declared dividends to be given to shareholders without first receiving authorisation from NEPSE.

    At 6:35 PM on Magh 25, after business hours, Nepal Stock Exchange received the letter from VLBS regarding the dividend declaration for the Fiscal Year 2078/79. However, on Magh 10 itself, Vijaya Laghubitta held a meeting to suggest dividends to the shareholders.
