    The Balephi Hydropower Limited (BHL) board of directors decided to submit a proposal for approval at the following annual general meeting of the company for the issuance of rights shares in the ratio of 1 equal to 0.5 from the current paid-up capital of Rs. 1.827 Arba. This decision was made at the board’s meeting on Falgun 12. Thus, the company’s enlarged paid-up capital following the right issuance at 50% will be Rs. 2.74 Arba.

    Balephi Hydropower earlier this year sold 18,27,970 units to the general public at a price of Rs 18.27 crore.

    The NEPSE index increased 4.55 points from the previous trading day’s closing to close at 2,027.19 today. The gain here is 0.22%. On Thursday, the index fell 57.74 points.

    The index hit an intraday low of 1,961.24 and started the day at 2,016.54. Although it peaked at 2,029.66 and ended up closing at 2,027.19

    Through 50,532 transactions, 262 scrips changed hands. 6,515,852 shares in all were traded for a total market value of Rs. 2.525 Arba. This is a little more than the turnover of Rs. 2.522 Arba from the previous trading day.

    Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited was formed as a private limited company on February 16, 2009, and was later converted to a public limited company on October 31, 2017, to allow for public participation. The company operates the 3.75-MW Dwari Khola Small Hydropower Project in Nepal’s Dailekh District, Karnali Province. The project began commercial operations on May 6, 2017, ahead of the required COD of June 30, 2017, and was built at a total cost of NPR 734 million (NPR 196 million per MW) with an initial debt-to-equity ratio of 82:18.

    On 2nd Ashad, 2079, Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) and Bank of Kathmandu Limited (BOKL) signed a merger agreement and agreed to a 1: 1 share swap ratio for the merger. As a result of the merger, the additional shares are now listed in NEPSE. After the merger, GBIME’s total listed shares were 245,096,261 and BOKL’s were 112,614,337.17, for a total of 357,710,597 unit shares.

    Sabaiko Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SABSL) has scheduled its 6th Annual General Meeting on the 26th of Falgun, 2079. The conference would begin at 10 a.m. that day at the Marsyangdi River View Resort in Bandipur.

    Among the other items on the agenda, the AGM will approve an 18.95% dividend of Rs. 5.11 crores for fiscal year 2078/79. On March 11, the board of directors resolved to disburse the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 27 crores. Tax-free bonus shares of 18% and a cash dividend of 0.95% have been suggested. Thus, the bonus shares are worth little more than Rs. 4.86 crores, and the cash dividend is worth slightly more than Rs. 25.57 lakhs.

    There is also a plan to approve the auditor’s report containing PL statements, financial reports, and cash flow reports for fiscal year 2078/79 and select an auditor for fiscal year 2079/80. During the meeting, the proposal to provide the Board of Directors authority to monitor any company-related merger or acquisition procedures will be adopted.

    The book will be closed on February 14th. As a result, shareholders who held shares prior to that date are entitled to dividends and are welcome to attend this AGM.
