    National Life Insurance Company Limited Announces Last Day for Dividend


    Today is the final day to receive the dividend announced by National Life Insurance Company Limited (NLICL). The company has scheduled its 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 22nd of Jestha, 2080. The AGM will take place at the company’s headquarters in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, starting at 10:30 AM on that day.

    One of the items on the AGM’s agenda is the approval of a 14.5% dividend for the fiscal year 2078/79. During the 495th board of directors meeting held on Chaitra 30, it was decided to distribute this dividend based on the paid-up capital of Rs. 4.64 Arba. The proposed dividend consists of 8% bonus shares valued at slightly over Rs. 37.12 crores and 6.5% cash dividend (including tax) amounting to Rs. 30.16 crores.

    The book closure date has been set for Jestha 11. Consequently, only shareholders who are still registered as of today will be eligible for the dividend payment and are welcome to attend the AGM.

    Sanima Reliance Life Insurance Limited (SRLI) has recently listed 41,840,000 shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) following a successful merger between Reliance Life Insurance Limited (RLI) and Sanima Life Insurance Company Limited (SLI).

    The merger agreement between SLI and RLI was signed on 29th Ashad, 2079. Under the terms of the merger, the swap ratio was set at 1:1. Prior to the merger, SLI had a total of 20,840,000 listed shares, while RLI had 21,000,000 listed shares, resulting in a combined total of 41,840,000 unit shares after the merger.

    After the merger, SLI and RLI began operating jointly under the name Sanima Reliance Life Insurance Limited (SRLI) starting from Chaitra 09, 2079. Consequently, the listed shares of SRLI will be traded on the NEPSE under the symbol “SRLI.”

    For the initial transactions, the open price range for SRLI shares has been set at Rs. 391.88. This range represents the price at which the first trades of SRLI shares will take place on the NEPSE. It is important to note that the actual traded prices may vary based on market conditions and investor demand.

    The listing of 41,840,000 shares of Sanima Reliance Life Insurance Limited on the NEPSE marks a significant milestone in the merger between SLI and RLI. It signifies the consolidation of their operations and the creation of a unified entity that will provide insurance services under the SRLI brand. Investors and shareholders can now actively participate in trading SRLI shares, leveraging the opportunities and potential offered by the merged company in the insurance sector.

    Prabhu Life Insurance Limited (PLI) has made changes to its dividend proposal for the fiscal year 2077/78. Initially, they had planned to distribute a dividend of 10.526%, consisting of 10% bonus shares and 0.526% cash dividend from their paid-up capital of Rs. 2 Arba. However, the Nepal Insurance Authority required the company to revise its proposal, leading to a new plan. The revised proposal includes the distribution of 9.8% bonus shares worth Rs. 19.60 crores and 0.5158% cash dividend worth Rs. 1.03 crores on the paid-up capital of Rs. 2 Arba. Currently, the company’s closing price is Rs. 401.10.

    Among the sector indices, only four closed in positive territory, with the “Manufacturing and Processing” sector gaining the highest at 0.52%. The “Non-Life Insurance” sector had the highest decline, losing 0.62% today.

    Prabhu Life Insurance proposes dividend for the first time


    Prabhu Life Insurance Limited (PLI) has proposed a dividend of 10.526% for the fiscal year 2077/78. This is the first dividend the company has proposed since being listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

    The company’s board of directors, at its 140th meeting held on Baisakh 25, has decided to distribute a dividend consisting of 10% bonus shares and 0.526% cash dividend (including tax). PLI has a paid-up capital of Rs. 2 Arba, making the bonus shares worth Rs. 20 crores and the cash dividend worth Rs. 1.05 crores.

    However, it’s important to note that this dividend is subject to approval by the Nepal Insurance Authority and endorsement at the upcoming AGM.

    As of writing, the company’s closing price on the last trading day stands at Rs. 390.

    Prime Life Insurance Company Limited (PLIC) unit promoter shares have been converted to ordinary shares, bringing the company’s promoter-to-public share ratio to 51: 49.

    The company currently has 3,14,09,657 unit shares listed on NEPSE.Similarly, the shareholding structure of 60% promoters and 40% public has been altered to 51% promoter shares and 49% public shares.

    At its meeting on Tuesday, the authority’s board of directors voted to provide licenses to two more micro insurance companies. The authorities have given licenses to Protective Micro Insurance Ltd Nepal and Crest Micro Life Insurance Ltd.

    Among the other items on the agenda, the AGM will approve an 8.947% dividend of Rs. 26.01 crores for fiscal year 2078/79. The board of directors decided today (Falgun 30) to distribute 8.50% bonus shares and a 0.447% cash dividend (for tax purposes). The value of the bonus shares is Rs. 24.71 crores, and the cash dividend is slightly more than Rs. 1.30 crores. ALICL’s current paid-up capital is Rs. 2.90 Arba.
