    One of my takeaways from the recent budget announcement was that NRN will be investing in the Hydropower and Hotel sector of the stock market. Do you think this will lead to high growth in stocks from these sector?

    Anyway I sold before the budget announcement and am planning to enter TRH and the other hotel scrips along with some other selected stocks (once my targeted price is reached, which could happen soon)

    Today, the NEPSE index, which represents the stock market performance in Nepal, closed at 2,055.53 points. It gained 4.75 points compared to the previous trading day, resulting in a 0.23% increase. Yesterday, the index had experienced a loss of 14.05 points.

    The trading day started with the index opening at 2,054.62 points. Throughout the day, it reached its highest point at 2,074.38 and the lowest point at 2,042.28. Finally, it settled at 2,055.53 points when the trading session ended.

    During the day, there were 276 different stocks traded, and these transactions amounted to 56,556 trades. In total, 8,008,246 shares were exchanged, with a total turnover amount of Rs. 3.44 Arba. However, this turnover was slightly lower than the previous trading day’s turnover of Rs. 3.49 Arba.

    City Hotel Limited has successfully concluded the initial public offering (IPO) allotment process at Hyatt Place in Soalteemode, Kathmandu. The company had offered 13,55,940 units of shares with a total value of Rs. 13.55 crores to the general public from Baisakh 25 to 28, 2080.

    Out of the total 16,74,000 units, 10% (1,67,400 units) were allotted to Nepalese citizens working abroad, while 4% (66,960 units) were set aside for the company’s employees. Additionally, 5% of the offered shares (83,700 units) were reserved for mutual funds. The remaining 13,55,940 units were made available for the general public.

    Following the IPO allotment, the company’s total paid-up capital would amount to Rs. 1.67 Arba.

    Global IME Capital Limited was appointed as the issue manager for the IPO issuance. The company received applications from 10,87,675 valid applicants, with a total demand for 1,18,33,710 units. The IPO was oversubscribed by more than 8.72 times.

    Based on the allotment module, a total of 1,35,594 applicants were allotted 10 units each through a lottery system, while the remaining 9,52,081 applicants were not allocated any units.

    Furthermore, 83,700 units were allotted to mutual funds, and 66,960 units were allocated to the employees of the company. However, 4,992 applicants who had applied for 61,660 units were disqualified and did not receive any shares.

    TRH, the operator of Hyatt Regency Hotel, has also experienced growth in investments, increasing them by 27% and reaching a total investment value of Rs. 1.32 Arba.

    Furthermore, the company has witnessed a significant increase in revenue from its operations, with a rise of 116.64% to Rs. 90.61 crores in the third quarter of the current fiscal year, contributing to its overall profitability.

    With a paid-up capital of Rs. 1.88 Arba, TRH has added 82.79% to its reserves, amounting to Rs. 51.39 crores, indicating a favorable financial position for the company.

    TRH maintains an impressive Earning per Share (EPS) of Rs. 16.88, surpassing the previous EPS of Rs. 2.93.

    Similarly, Taragaon Regency Hotel boasts a Net Worth per Share of Rs. 127.24 and a Price per Earning (P/E) Ratio of 27.55 times.

    Meanwhile, the closing price of the company’s shares stood at Rs. 465 at the end of the third quarter of the current fiscal year.

Compared to the same quarter in the previous fiscal year, the company’s Net Profit has increased by an impressive 476.52%, amounting to Rs. 23.88 crores.

    Furthermore, the company’s operational revenue has experienced a substantial rise of 116.64%, reaching Rs. 90.61 crores in the third quarter of the current fiscal year. This increase has contributed to the overall profitability of the company.

    With a paid-up capital of Rs. 1.88 Arba, TRH has bolstered its reserves by 82.79%, equivalent to Rs. 51.39 crores, establishing a solid financial position for the company.

    Similarly, on the 25th of Baisakh, 2080, the corporation would issue 13,55,940 unit shares with a face value of Rs 100 to the general public. This issue’s early closure date is on 28th Baisakh, and if it is not completely subscribed, it can be prolonged until 8th Jestha, 2080.
