    The NEPSE index closed at 1,866.68 today, down 5.20 points from the previous trading day’s close. This is a 0.28% decrease. Yesterday, the index fell 16.67 points.

    Today, the index opened at 1,872.65 and closed at 1,856.69. In contrast, it reached a high of 1,880.31 before settling at 1,866.68.

    Through 23,170 transactions, 264 scrips changed hands. A total of 2,971,947 shares were traded, totaling Rs. 91.76 crores in turnover. This is less than the previous day’s turnover of Rs. 92.02 Crores.

    Among the other items on the agenda, the AGM will approve a 15% bonus share for fiscal year 2078/79. The company’s current paid-up capital is Rs. 79.19 Crores. For the fiscal year 2078/79, the company has proposed a 15% bonus dividend worth Rs. 11.87 Crores from its paid-up capital.

    In the most recent list of mutual fund scheme pipeline status published by the Securities Exchange Board of Nepal (SEBON), “NI 31” has recently been added under preliminary review.

    The fund size for NI 31 will be Rs. 15 crores divided into 1.5 crore units with a par value of Rs.10 per unit. On Chaitra 16, the application was submitted to SEBON. The mutual fund scheme’s fund manager is Nabil Investment Banking Limited. Nabil Bank, on the other hand, is the scheme’s Fund Sponsor.

    NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL) has scheduled its 5th Annual General Meeting for 10th Baisakh, 2080. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. that day in Hotel Gajur Palace – Hotel in Dharan, Sunsari.

    Among the other items on the agenda, the AGM will approve a 14.75% cash dividend for fiscal year 2078/79. The board of directors decided to pay out the entire dividend in cash at their meeting on Falgun 21.     The fund has invested Rs. 83.86 crores in Falgun’s listed shares. Non-listed shares were worth Rs. 3.66 crores, and fixed deposits were worth Rs. 10 crores. The fund has bank deposits worth Rs. 3.30 crores and other assets worth Rs. 2.39 crores.

    Insurance companies are competing with one another to collect more premiums. Out of its 1.4 crore total active insurance policies, life insurance companies collected a total premium of Rs. 93.75 Arba during the fiscal year 2079/80.

    According to a report published by the Nepal Insurance Authority, Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited collected Rs. 24.37 Arba on its own, with 978,626 active insurance policies as of Falgun, 2079.

    Gurans Life Insurance Company Limited (GLICL) has scheduled its 13th Annual General Meeting for the 6th of Baisakh, 2080. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. that day at the company’s headquarters in Tinkune, Kathmandu.

    Among the other items on the agenda, the AGM will approve 13.2712772% bonus shares for fiscal year 2078/79. The Board of Directors decided on Chaitra 09 to distribute 13.2712772% bonus shares for fiscal year 2077/78. The dividend will be paid from the company’s paid-up capital of Rs. 2,23,93,70,000. The bonus shares are thus worth Rs. 29,71,93,000. Pass the resolution to amend the Articles of Association to reflect the increased capital of the company as a result of the issuance of bonus shares.
