The IPO, which began on the 19th of Ashad, 2080, allocated 10% of the company’s issued capital, amounting to Rs. 8 Crores, to project-affected locals in Dolakha District. Additionally, there will be a public issue of 25% of the company’s capital, with 200,000 unit shares set aside for Nepalese citizens working abroad. The application period for the shares allocated to Nepalese citizens abroad ended on the 2nd of Shrawan, 2080.

    Despite this recovery, the NEPSE index remains 34.44% below its all-time high, which was recorded on August 18, 2021. This indicates that there has been a significant decline from the peak level reached. The fluctuations in the NEPSE index reflect the changing market conditions and investor sentiment during the fiscal year.

    To summarize, the NEPSE index closed at 2,097.09 on the final trading day of the fiscal year 2079/80, showing a modest gain of 12.16 points.     A total of 282 different scrips were traded, and there were 46,731 transactions. In terms of shares, a total of 6,450,934 were exchanged, equivalent to a turnover of Rs. 2.57 Arba. However, this turnover amount is lower than the previous trading day’s turnover of Rs. 4.05 Arba.

    All sector indices concluded the day on a positive note, with the “Non-Life Insurance” sector experiencing the highest gain of 1.93%. The “Mutual Fund” sector had the smallest gain of 0.06% on the day.

    Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) experienced the highest gain of 10% and reached the positive circuit during the day’s trading.

    On the other hand, Sanima Equity Fund (SAEF) recorded the highest loss of 3.77% during the trading session.

    While the “Manufacturing And Processing” sector index registered the highest gain of 4.69%, the “Finance” sector index experienced the highest decline of 0.45% at the closing of the market.

    The trading day commenced with an opening value of 1,846.69. Throughout the day, the index fluctuated, reaching a low of 1,844.50 and a high of 1,883.20. Eventually, it settled at 1,877.32 at the close of trading.

    During the day, a total of 264 scrips were traded through 32,579 transactions. The overall shares exchanged amounted to 4,422,186, with a total turnover value of Rs. 1.47 Arba. This turnover figure surpassed the previous trading day’s turnover of Rs. 85.76 Crores.

    Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 8.63 crores, concluding the trading session at a market price of Rs. 779.20 per share. The shares of SHIVM were the most actively traded during the day.

    Two scrips experienced the highest gain of 10% each, triggering the positive circuit limit for the day. Conversely, NIBL Growth Fund (NIBLGF) suffered the highest decline of 3.14% during the trading session.

    All sector indices closed in the green zone, with the “Hotels and Tourism” sector displaying the highest growth of 3.75%. On the other hand, the “Others” sector recorded the least growth of 0.90% on the trading day.

    RBB Merchant Banking Limited has concluded the public offering of its mutual fund scheme, “RBB Mutual Fund 2,” on the specified date of 31st Baisakh. The offering, which initially opened on the 17th Baisakh and was intended to close on the 21st Baisakh, had been extended due to an insufficient number of applications.

    Out of a total of 12 crore unit shares, the fund sponsor, Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited, has been allocated 15% or 1.80 crore units worth Rs. 18 crores. The remaining 10.20 crore units were made available to the general public.

    As reported by CDSC (Central Depository System and Clearing Ltd.), as of 5 PM last Friday, a total of 15,651 applicants have applied for 46,046,424 units worth Rs. 46.04 crores.

    “RBB Mutual Fund 2” is a closed-end fund that will be traded on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) and has a maturity period of 10 years. Interested applicants were able to apply for a minimum of 100 units up to a maximum of 12,000,000 units.

    RBB Merchant Banking Limited currently manages another closed-end fund, RBB Mutual Fund 1 (RMF1), in the market.

    Three Star Hydropower Limited is closing the initial public offering (IPO) for Nepalese citizens working abroad today, i.e., 25th Baisakh, 2080, and has extended the deadline for project-affected locals to apply for the IPO until 9th Jestha. The IPO issue was opened on 11th Baisakh, 2080. The company’s issued capital is Rs. 49.25 Crores, of which 10% has been allocated to project-affected locals of Khotang District, while 15% will be issued later for the general public. Of this public issue, 10% has been allocated for Nepalese citizens working abroad, and the issue for this segment will close today.

    The minimum application quantity for project-affected locals is ten units, while the maximum quantity is 492,500 units. For Nepalese citizens working abroad, the minimum application quantity is ten units, and the maximum quantity is 73,875 units. The IPO issue manager is Himalayan Capital Limited. After this IPO, the promoter-public share ratio will be 75:25.

    As per CDSC, Nepalese citizens working abroad have submitted 20,646 applications for a total of 512,280 units. So far, the issue has been oversubscribed by 6.93 times.

    Three Star Hydropower Limited is a public company located in Province 1, Haleshi Tuwachung Municipality, Khotang. The company was established in 2072 BS and has a total capacity of 7.151 MW. The founders of the company are Kumar Kharel, Mohan Karki, and Madhav Mainali, who named the company after themselves and then named it Three Star Hydro. Later, Uddhav Raj Shivakotee ‘Kangal’, Pradeep K Agrawal, Ananda P Manandhar, Zen Lama, and Ratna Bdr Newar joined the founders. ICRA Nepal has assigned an issuer rating of Three Star Hydropower Limited as [ICRANP-IR] B-, indicating a high risk of default regarding the timely servicing of financial obligations.

    Rawa Energy Development Limited is a public limited company that was initially incorporated as a private limited company on August 16, 2009. It was later converted into a public limited company on June 28, 2019. The company is engaged in setting up Hydroelectric Projects (HEP) in Nepal, and it is promoted by business persons who have long experience in the hydropower and other sectors.

    The company has a 3 MW Upper Rawa Khola Small Hydropower Project (URKHP) located in Khotang District. The project has been in commercial operation since September 20, 2020, and it was constructed under the BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer) mechanism. The project has been providing power to the national grid and has been contributing to the development of the region.

    Rawa Energy Development Limited is closing the issue of its IPO for project-affected locals today, which was opened on 23rd Chaitra, 2079. The issued capital of the company is Rs. 28 Crores, out of which 10% i.e. 2,80,000 unit shares worth Rs. 2.8 crores have been allocated to project-affected locals of Khotang District. The remaining 20% of the company’s issued capital, i.e., 560,000 unit shares, will be issued later for the general public. Of this public issue, 10% of the shares totaling 56,000 units shares were allocated for Nepalese citizens working abroad, the issue of which closed on 7th Baisakh, 2080.

    The minimum application quantity for project-affected locals is 10 units, while the maximum quantity is 10,000 units. Prabhu Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for the IPO, and the promoter-public share ratio will be 70:30 after this IPO.

    CARE Ratings Nepal Limited (CRNL) has assigned an issuer rating of ‘CARE-NP BB (Is)’ to Rawa Energy Development Limited. This rating suggests that issuers with this rating have a moderate risk of default regarding the timely servicing of financial obligations in Nepal.
