    Gold prices are once again making news, since the value of gold reached an all-time high on March 19, 2023, i.e. today. Today’s gain is the consequence of a Rs. 2900 one-day increase from yesterday’s pricing.

    According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association’s official website, fine gold is now trading at Rs. 110,000 per tola. Yesterday, the tariff remained unchanged at Rs. 107,100 per tola. Meanwhile, Tejabi gold is currently trading at Rs. 109500. In contrast, the cost was kept at Rs. 106,600 per tola yesterday.

    In the last 10 days, the price of gold has climbed by Rs. 9500 per tola. Gold was priced at Rs 1,00,500 per tola on March 9, 2023.

    Following the merger, the institution’s name was changed to Manushi Shrijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited. Similarly, for the merger, an equal share swap ratio, i.e. a 1:1 swap ratio, has been finalized.

    For the merger process, a joint merger committee will be formed with 3/3 representatives from both organizations. The goal is to complete the merger process this fiscal year.

    The Nepal Bankers Association (NBA) has decided to lower the interest rate on savings while keeping the interest rate on fixed deposits unchanged.

    The meeting was attended by the CEOs and representatives of all commercial banks to review the interest rate beginning on Chaitra 1. Savings interest rates currently range from 6.42 percent to 8.4 percent. It has been decided to keep the rates between 6% and 8%.
