    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index concluded at 1,847.70 points, recording a loss of 10.86 points, which represents a 0.58% decrease compared to the previous day’s closing. It’s worth noting that this market performance marks a substantial downturn, with the index closing at its lowest point in the past six months. This level was last observed on May 17 when it concluded at 1,845.01 points. Moreover, there has been a significant decline of approximately 380 points since the announcement of this year’s Monetary Policy.

    The day’s trading activities commenced with the index opening at 1,858.27, reaching an intraday low of 1,842.73, while achieving an intraday high of 1,859.48.

    In the course of today’s trading, a total of 281 different stocks were actively traded in 45,763 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 3,749,954 units, with a cumulative turnover of Rs. 96.44 Crore. The overall market capitalization stood at Rs. 28.46 Kharba, and the float market capitalization was at Rs. 9.97 Kharba.

    Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd Promoter Share (ALBSLP) led in terms of turnover, with a trading value of Rs. 10.10 crores, but it closed at a market price of Rs. 0.

    Similarly, Chandragiri Hills Limited (CGH) recorded the most substantial gain of 6.04% during the day’s trading, while Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) faced the most significant loss, declining by 10.00% on the day.

    As for sector indices, all indices, except “Hotels And Tourism Index” and “Manufacturing And Processing,” closed in the red. “Hotels And Tourism Index” saw the most significant gain, increasing by 4.27%, while the “Mutual Fund” index recorded the most notable loss of 4.63% for the day.

    During today’s trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index concluded at 1,903.84 points, marking a decrease of 4.05 points, equivalent to a 0.21% decline compared to the previous day’s closing. It’s important to note that the index had seen a significant increase of 43.27 points on the last trading day.

    The trading day kicked off with the index opening at 1,908.66, reaching an intraday low of 1,893.94, while the highest point it reached during the day was 1,915.98.

    Throughout the course of the trading day, there were 284 different stocks involved in 25,520 transactions. The total volume of shares traded amounted to 3,766,153 units, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 97.06 Crore. The overall market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.21 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.25 Kharba.

    NABIL Bank Limited Promotor Share (NABILP) saw the most substantial turnover, reaching Rs. 5.90 crores, and it closed at a market price of Rs. 312.00.

    In a similar fashion, Citizens Mutual Fund 2 (CMF2) experienced the most significant gain today, achieving an impressive 5.87% increase in its value.

    On the contrary, Upper Solu Hydro Electric Company Limited (USHEC) had the most substantial loss of the day, with a notable decrease of 8.25%.

    Regarding sector indices, four sectors ended the day in positive territory, with “Mutual Fund” posting the highest gain at 0.36%. Conversely, the “Hydropower Index” recorded the most significant loss, showing a negative change of 0.96%.

    NEPSE Index Records Gains in Latest Trading Session, Led by Strong Performance in Hydropower Sector


    In the latest trading session at the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE Index closed at 1,985.43 points, marking a notable increase of 16.24 points or 0.82% in comparison to the previous day’s closing figures. This follows a modest uptick of 4.26 points on Monday.

    The trading day commenced with the NEPSE Index opening at 1,970.42 points and reaching a low of 1,960.62 points during the course of the trading session. However, it managed to climb to a high point of 1,986.72 points.

    Throughout today’s trading activities, a total of 272 different stocks were traded, with an impressive 50,296 transactions taking place. This high trading volume amounted to 43,36,583 shares changing hands, contributing to a total turnover of Rs. 1.17 Arba. The overall market capitalization was reported at Rs. 29.92 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.54 Kharba.

    Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Limited (RNLI) took the lead in terms of turnover, with transactions worth Rs. 10.64 crores, closing at a market price of Rs. 485.50 per share. Similarly, Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) recorded the highest gain of the day at 10%, followed closely by Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) with a gain of 9.99%.

    Conversely, Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) experienced the most significant loss for the day, with a decrease of 8.00%.

    Looking at the sub-indices, both the Hotel and Tourism Index and the Trading Index concluded in the negative territory, while the “Hydropower Index” showcased the most substantial gain at 3.21%. The “Mutual Fund and Other” sub-index had a more modest gain, standing at 0.11%.
