    Garima Bikas Bank has introduced two new loan programs: Garima Easy Home and SME loans, both with a competitive interest rate of 11.99%. Borrowers can benefit from a fixed interest rate of 11.99% over a seven-year term under these new schemes.

    The bank’s extensive network consists of 121 branches and 50 ATM outlets, providing convenient access to its services.

    Nepal Rastra Bank has reported that inflation was around 7.74 percent year-on-year. The country’s foreign exchange reserves were at USD 11.74 billion. However, both imports and exports saw declines, with imports dropping by 16.1 percent and exports decreasing by 21.4 percent. This is in contrast to the previous year when imports had increased by 24.7 percent and exports had risen by 41.7 percent.

    In terms of loans, an amount of Rs. 197.06 billion was given out to 145,778 borrowers in mid-July 2023. Among these borrowers, Rs. 135.76 billion was provided to 60,350 individuals involved in commercial agriculture and livestock businesses. Additionally, Rs. 58.38 billion was extended to support 82,718 women entrepreneurs. The remaining Rs. 2.91 billion was allocated to 2,710 borrowers falling under other categories of concessional loans.

    Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBSL) has recently listed 1,32,000 units of bonus shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). During their 9th Annual General Meeting held on the 22nd of Ashad, 2080, the company approved a 15% dividend for the fiscal year 2078/79. This dividend will be distributed based on the company’s paid-up capital of Rs. 13.20 Crores. Additionally, the board of directors also proposed issuing 10% bonus shares amounting to Rs. 1.32 crores and a 5% cash dividend totaling Rs. 66 lakhs.

    At present, the Last Traded Price (LTP) of SLBSL stands at Rs. 864.90.

As a result, consumers now pay Rs. 175 per liter for petrol and Rs. 164.5 per liter for diesel and kerosene, impacting the people significantly.

    Under the ‘Nabil Dhukka Ghar Karja’ plan, first-time homebuyers can benefit from financing up to 70% of the property’s value, while others can secure up to 60% financing. The loan process is designed to be hassle-free and convenient for all applicants.

    Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) and Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL), along with their former entities (Century Commercial Bank Limited, Arniko Development Bank Limited, Innovative Development Bank Limited, Alpin Finance Limited, Sagarmatha Finance, and Seti Finance Limited), have issued a notice to their respective shareholders regarding the retrieval of outstanding dividends that were approved in various general meetings.

    Despite a lapse of 5 years since the dividends were distributed, certain shareholders have yet to collect their entitled dividends from the banks. Shareholders who haven’t availed their dividends are required to submit their share certificates and valid identification to the share department of the respective company. This submission, accompanied by necessary document copies, is necessary to claim their outstanding dividends.

The notices are aimed at facilitating the collection of outstanding dividends that were approved in various general meetings.

    Despite the passage of five years since the dividends were distributed, some shareholders have not yet claimed their entitled dividends from the banks. Shareholders who fall into this category are advised to visit the companies’ share departments. To claim their due dividends, they will need to provide their share certificate, proof of identity, and copies of necessary documents. This process ensures that all eligible shareholders can access the dividends they are owed.

    The allotment for Upper Lohore Hydropower Company Limited’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) was completed today at Kaji Kitchen, Battisputali, Kathmandu. NICA Asia Capital acted as the issue manager for this IPO. The company had initially issued 19,53,279 IPO shares with a face value of Rs 100 each to the public from 18th to 22nd Shrawan, 2080.

    Earlier, the company had also issued 509,804 shares worth Rs. 5.09 crores to locals affected by the project in Dailekh District. However, only 206,760 units (40.55%) of these shares were allocated to eligible applicants. As a result, the remaining 303,044 units of unsubscribed shares from the project-affected locals were combined with 19,88,236 units (39% of the total issued capital) set aside for the general public. This brought the total number of units available to the general public to 22,91,280.
