The Confederation of Nepali Industries (CNI) and UKaid Skills for Employment inked an MOU to develop the Skill for Nepal initiative.Commercial agriculture, light manufacturing, tourism, information and communication technology (ICT), and construction are among the priority industries targeted by the alliance.
“The Skill Nepal campaign encourages the development of skilled workers within interested partner enterprises to accelerate industry transformation,” said CNI President Vishnu Agarwal.
In order to secure quality skilling and job-linked livelihoods for Nepalis, he said that CNI and UKaid Skills for Employment would continue to utilise national and provincial government funding given for apprenticeship-based training.
