Gold Prices Drop by Rs. 800 per Tola

The fine gold market has seen a significant drop, with prices falling by Rs. 800 per tola. According to the latest update from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is now priced at Rs. 1,40,800 per tola, down from Rs. 1,41,600 per tola.

Tejabi gold has also decreased, now costing Rs. 1,40,100 per tola, which is Rs. 800 less than the previous price of Rs. 1,40,900 per tola.

This decline follows a recent peak on June 7, 2024, when fine gold hit an all-time high of Rs. 1,45,000 per tola.

Silver prices have also dropped, decreasing by Rs. 10 per tola. The current rate for silver stands at Rs. 1,780 per tola, down from Rs. 1,790 per tola.

This downward trend is observed in both domestic and international markets. Global gold prices are currently at $2,300.40 per ounce, while silver prices are at $28.68 per ounce, indicating a negative momentum in the silver market.
