Can existing promotoer or thei family apply for IPO of general shares of a company? Is there some rule regarding this?

  1. Yes they can apply. There’s no such rules except holding more than 15% of the outstanding shares in case of BFIs. Heck, even the promoter person can apply/buy/sell IPO or the ordinary shares.
