Recent bull run/ rise in banking sector

Any insights on why the banks are rising and if this current bull run is sustainable as it just broke the 2200 mark without retracement today.

  1. For the mid term, it looks positive. Ease at liquidity and no other sectors have better returns at the moment. Banks are generally pledged to get share loans, then the loan is used in other sector. Annual reports are close as well with dividends season ahead.

  2. they were very low and considering the premium ipo trend they can be considered 50% discount. even networth of 5rs hydro is like 180.

But again it is banking stocks, there are shit ton of investors who are very quick to sell such high cap stocks and might repeat the same fate of recent hydro trend.

Also, NPL is major issue in this sector, many banks wont be able to give good dividend.

Can someone please tell me how long (on average) it takes to list the bonus share in nepsetms and mero share after the book close date? For example, STC book close date was on 22nd Mar 2024 but I do not find the listing date anywhere. Thank you. View on r/NepalStock by p_gautam Popular Tags: […]
