Jha had just finished his second tenure as CEO of Nepal Life Insurance Company. Due to a clause of the Insurance Board’s institutional good governance policy, he was compelled to quit the post after running the company for ten years.
Following his retirement in July of last year, many expected him to rejoin another company as CEO. However, he stunned everyone by joining Surya Life as a director.
On May 21, he was appointed as a director to represent the VJ Investment Company on behalf of the founders at the 291st meeting of the board. It means that Jha will be involved in the company’s policymaking.
