The country is experiencing a gradual drop in temperature.


As the winter season approaches, all over the country are experiencing chilly weather.

It has been observed that the temperature of the country, including Kathmandu Valley, has begun to decline by up to 1-2 degrees Celsius every day on average, according to the of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The Kathmandu Valley’s minimum temperature has dropped to 10.6 degrees Celsius today, down from 12.1 degrees Celsius on Friday.

According to meteorologist Shanti Kandel, the severity of this cold will continue to worsen. The influence of the westerly wind on Nepalese weather heralds the beginning of winter.

Similarly, the of Agriculture reported that the temperature in the afternoon has begun to drop by two or three degrees Celsius for the next couple of days.

At the moment, the weather in the and mountainous regions is partly cloudy, whereas the rest of the country is mostly clear, according to the forecast.

In high- and mountainous areas, there is a chance of light snowfall, according to the of Meteorological Forecasting Division, the possibility of light snowfall in one or two locations.

Today, the lowest temperature was recorded in Jumla at 2.0 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature was recorded in Janakpur at 31 degrees Celsius.
