    Nabil Equity Fund (NEF) has released its monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) report for the month of Ashad. The latest NAV is Rs. 10.82, showing an increase from the previous month’s Rs. 10.37. The fund, which started with a size of Rs. 1.25 Arba, has allocated Rs. 75.86 crores in shares of listed companies and Rs. 1.4 crores in non-listed shares. Additionally, it has invested Rs. 37.5 crore in fixed deposit schemes and Rs. 11.02 crore in debentures. NEF also holds Rs. 8.37 crores in bank balance.

    NIBL Pragati Fund (NIBLPF), a 7-year closed-end mutual fund scheme, has reported an increase in its Net Asset Value (NAV) for the month of Ashad.

    The financial report reveals that the NAV of the mutual fund scheme has risen to Rs. 10.68 at the end of Ashad, 2080, compared to Rs. 10.28 in the previous month. The scheme began with a total fund of Rs. 75 crore and made investments of Rs. 49.40 crore in listed shares and Rs. 14.46 crore in public issues, right shares, and bonus shares. It also holds Rs. 15.35 crores in its bank balance.

    Today, the price of gold in the domestic market has dropped by Rs. 500 per tola. Fine gold is now being traded at Rs. 112,300 per tola, compared to yesterday’s rate of Rs. 112,800 per tola. Tejabi gold is also lower today at Rs. 111,750 per tola, while yesterday it was Rs. 112,250 per tola.

    SEBON Approves IPO Issue of 5 Companies; Hathway Investment Nepal to Raise Rs. 14.62 Crores

    The Securities Exchange Board of Nepal (SEBON) has given its approval for the initial public offering (IPO) of five different companies. One of them, Hathway Investment Nepal Limited, plans to issue 29.25 lakh shares at a par value of Rs. 50 per share. This will raise approximately Rs. 14.62 crores for the company, which accounts for 12.5% of its total issued capital. Currently, Hathway Investment Nepal has a paid-up capital of Rs. 1.02 Arba, and after the IPO allotment, it will increase to Rs. 1.17 Arba. Global IME Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for this IPO. The proposal received SEBON’s approval on Ashad 17.

    Avasar Equity Diversified Fund Invests in Two Hydropower Projects in Nepal’s Dolakha District


    Avasar Equity Diversified Fund, Nepal’s first domestic Private Equity Fund registered with the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), has recently entered into an investment agreement with Him Parbat Hydropower Limited. Under this agreement, the Fund will invest NPR 39.06 crore in the development of two Run-of-river hydropower projects in Dolakha District of Bagmati Province.

    The investment will be directed towards the Sagu Khola – 1 Hydropower Project, with a capacity of 5.5 MW, and the Sagu Khola Hydropower Project, with a capacity of 20 MW. Both projects have already concluded Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) on a take-or-pay basis. It is anticipated that the combined energy generation from these projects will amount to approximately 149 GWh per year.

    To connect the power generated by the projects to the national grid, a connection will be established through the Singati Substation. The projects have a target Commercial Operation Date set for Chaitra 29, 2081 (April 12, 2025).

    By providing financial support for these projects, the investment from Avasar Equity Diversified Fund aims to ensure their timely completion and contribute to Nepal’s commitment to clean and sustainable energy sources.

    The Nepal Insurance Authority has licensed two more microinsurance businesses.

    At its meeting on Tuesday, the authority’s board of directors voted to provide licenses to two more micro insurance companies. The authorities have given licenses to Protective Micro Insurance Ltd Nepal and Crest Micro Life Insurance Ltd.
