    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index registered a decline of 6.46 points or 0.31% compared to the previous day’s closing, settling at 2,026.59 points, following a loss of 1.76 points in the preceding trading session.

    As today’s trading commenced, the market opened with the index at 2,034.39 points, achieving an intraday high of 2,044.44 and reaching a low of 2,020.88.

    Throughout the trading session today, a total of 313 different stocks were traded in 58,362 transactions. The total volume of shares traded amounted to 6,341,174, leading to a turnover of Rs. 2.24 Arba. The market capitalization was reported at Rs. 31.85 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.91 Kharba.

    Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) dominated in turnover, accumulating Rs. 11.12 crores and concluding the day with a market price of Rs. 633.20.

    While four companies experienced positive circuits during the trading day, Peoples Hydropower Company Limited (PHCL) marked the most significant decline, incurring a loss of 7.84%.

    In terms of sector indices, only one sector closed in the green today, with the “Manufacturing And Processing Index” witnessing the highest gain of 2.84%. Conversely, the “HydroPower Index” experienced a loss of 0.88%.

The day commenced with the index opening at 2072.45 and witnessed fluctuations, reaching an intraday low of 2,056.87 and a high of 2,096.44.

    In the course of today’s trading activities, a total of 306 different stocks were traded through 102,905 transactions. The trading volume amounted to 11,892,559 shares, contributing to a total turnover of Rs. 4.48 Arba. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.00 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.05 Kharba.

    SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) emerged as the stock with the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 20.13 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 579.

    Among the gainers for the day were CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) and Chirkhwa Hydropower Limited (CKHL), both gaining 10%. Following closely were Nepal Warehousing Company Limited (NWCL) and Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY), each recording gains of 9.99%, along with MKCL at 9.98%.

    Conversely, Molung Hydropower Company Limited (MHCL) experienced the most significant loss, with a decline of 8.09%.

    Analyzing the sector indices, only five sectors closed positively today. The “Investment Index and Manufacturing And Processing” exhibited the highest gain of 1.07%, while the “HydroPower Index” witnessed a loss of 1.72%.

The day commenced with the index opening at 2089.89, hitting an intraday low of 2,055.35, and reaching an intraday high of 2,109.35.

    During the day’s trading activities, a total of 307 different stocks were exchanged in 117,476 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 14,337,738, with a total turnover of Rs. 5.24 Arba. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.16 Kharba, and the float market capitalization was Rs. 11.12 Kharba.

    Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) emerged as the leader in terms of turnover, reaching Rs. 19.66 crores and closing at a market price of Rs. 415.10.

    In the realm of gainers, Nepal Insurance Co. Ltd. (NICL), Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS), Manakamana Engineering Hydropower Limited (MEHL), and Chirkhwa Hydropower Limited (CKHL) stood out with a 10% increase. NWCL and VLUCL closely followed with a gain of 9.98%. On the downside, BPW Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (BPW) suffered the most significant loss at 10%, followed by Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) at 9.99%.

    Examining sector indices, all sectors closed in the red except for “Mutual Fund, Non-Life Insurance.” The “Non-Life Insurance” sector experienced the highest gain at 1.16%, while the “Trading Index” incurred a loss of 2.32%.

    Today’s trading activity involved 306 different stocks traded in 111,723 transactions. The total volume of shares traded amounted to 19,963,604, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 7.00 Arba. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 33.16 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.46 Kharba.

    SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) led in turnover, reaching Rs. 37.34 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 613. Notably, fifteen companies experienced positive circuit hits for the day.

    Conversely, Kumari Dhanabriddhi Yojana (KDBY) suffered the highest loss of 3.82% during the day.

    In terms of sector indices, all sectors closed in positive territory, except for “Hotels And Tourism Index and Non-Life Insurance.” The “Manufacturing And Processing” sector recorded the highest gain of 7.15%, while the “Hotels And Tourism Index” saw a loss of 1.89%.

    Throughout the day, a total of 264 scrips were exchanged through 54,954 transactions. The Float index witnessed a decline of 0.13% and currently stands at 150.04, while the Sensitive index saw a marginal gain of 0.01%, bringing it to 410.52. The overall market capitalization amounted to Rs. 3.17 Trillion, with the float market capitalization reaching Rs. 1.12 Trillion.

    SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 14.23 crores, closing at a market price of Rs. 635 per share. Among the various stocks, KBL was the most actively traded.

    During the trading session, two scrips registered a significant gain of 10%, hitting the positive circuit breaker. On the other hand, two mutual funds experienced a complete loss for the day.

    Out of the various sectors, five managed to gain ground, while all others closed in the red. “Mutual Funds” was the sector with the highest loss, declining by 1.21%. Conversely, the “Trading” sector showed the most notable gain, surging by 6.35% during the day’s trading activities.

    The NEPSE index concluded today’s trading session at 2,037.06, registering a gain of 16.42 points from the previous day’s closing. This represents a percentage increase of 0.81%. Notably, the index had shown significant growth of 34.17 points in the previous trading session.

    Starting at an opening value of 2,020.15, the index reached an intraday high of 2,067.10. However, it also experienced a dip, touching a low of 2,015.19 before settling at 2,037.06 by the end of the day.

    During the trading session, a total of 275 scrips were exchanged through 79,461 transactions. The overall volume of shares traded amounted to 12,561,440, with a total turnover value of Rs. 5.01 Arba. This marks the highest turnover in the past five months, with the previous highest recorded on January 12, 2023, at Rs. 5.47 Arba.

    Among the traded stocks, SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) witnessed the most trading activity and recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 28.17 crores. The closing market price for SHIVM shares stood at Rs. 525 per share.

    Two companies, namely Khaptad Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KLBS) and City Hotel Limited (CITY), experienced significant gains and reached their respective positive circuits.

    On the other hand, Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL) faced the highest decline of 5.62% in its share value during today’s trading.

    Among the sector indices, six closed in the red zone, with the “Others” sector gaining the most at 2.35%. The “Development Bank” sector experienced the highest loss at 0.96%.

    Overall, the NEPSE index displayed a moderate gain, accompanied by a substantial turnover that reached its highest level in five months. The trading session saw notable performance in specific stocks and sectors, highlighting the dynamic nature of the market.

    During the trading day, a total of 266 stocks were traded through 25,634 transactions. The trading volume amounted to 2,577,210 shares, with a turnover of Rs. 85.76 Crores. This marked an increase in turnover compared to the previous trading day’s turnover of Rs. 64.01 Crores.
