    Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited (CLICL) is preparing to launch an Initial Public Offering (IPO) with a premium starting on the 15th of Bhadra. In this offering, the company plans to make shares available to the public at a base value of Rs 100 per share, with an additional premium of Rs 144, making the total cost per share Rs 244.

    The insurance company has received approval to issue 1,12,50,000 shares, which are valued at 1.125 billion rupees. This issuance constitutes 30% of its total issued capital of 3.75 billion rupees. Notably, a portion of these shares, amounting to 5%, has already been distributed. This initial portion consists of 562,500 shares, valued at 5 crore 62 lakh 50 thousand rupees, and was offered at the rate of 100 rupees per share exclusively for the company’s employees.

    In an event held at Sundhara, Kathmandu, Thulo Khola Hydropower Limited and Citizens Capital Limited signed an agreement for the management of their Initial Public Offering (IPO). The agreement was formalized by Mrs. Shweta Adhikari Panth, Director of Thulo Khola Hydropower Limited, and Mr. Sabir Bade Shrestha, CEO of Citizens Capital Limited.

    Under this agreement, Citizens Capital Limited, a subsidiary of Citizens Bank International Limited, will oversee the IPO process for Thulo Khola Hydropower Limited. The main objective of the IPO is to issue ordinary shares to local residents who are affected by the project, as well as to the general public.

    Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) has decided to extend the public offering period for the “9% Nepal SBI Bank Debenture 2089.” The initial opening of the offering took place on the 18th of Shrawan, 2080, and the original closing date was today, the 22nd of Shrawan. As the offering has not garnered complete subscription, the deadline has now been pushed back to the 31st of Shrawan.

    In this offering, a total of 20 lakh units are up for grabs, each priced at Rs. 1000. Among these, 12 lakh units (60% of the total) will be allocated through private placement, while the remaining 8 lakh units, valued at Rs. 80 Crores, are available for public subscription. Of this public portion, 5% is set aside for mutual funds. The issuance aims to raise a total of Rs. 2 Arba.

    Setikhola Hydropower has selected Kumari Capital as the issue manager to issue 60 lakh unit ordinary shares to the public investors. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the CEO of Kumari Capital, Mr. Puspa Sharma, and the chairman of Setikhola Hydropower, Mr. Anup Acharya, during a program, according to the media statement.

    The IPO allotment of Rawa Energy Development Limited is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 30th Jestha, 2080. The allotment program will be conducted at the premises of Prabhu Capital Limited, located in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, at 4 pm. The company had offered 643,667 unit shares with a face value of Rs 100 to the general public. Out of the total shares available, 56,000 units were specifically allocated to Nepalese citizens working abroad, while 37,616 units were set aside for mutual funds. Additionally, 15,047 units were reserved for the company’s employees, leaving the remaining 643,667 units open for the general public.

    According to data provided by CDSC (Central Depository System and Clearing Limited), the IPO received a significant response, with approximately 1,165,526 applications submitted, requesting a total of 12,761,480 units of shares by the closing day. This indicates that the IPO was oversubscribed by an impressive 19.82 times in terms of the number of units applied for by ordinary applicants.

    Analyzing the data, it becomes evident that out of the numerous applications received, only 64,366 fortunate applicants will be granted ownership of the company through the IPO allotment process.

    In terms of issuer ratings, CARE Ratings Nepal Limited (CRNL) has assigned an issuer rating of ‘CARE-NP BB (Is)’ to Rawa Energy Development Limited. This rating indicates that issuers with such a rating are considered to have a moderate risk of default regarding the timely servicing of financial obligations within Nepal

    Today, the index opened at 1,837.65 and closed at 1,833.08. In contrast, it reached a high of 1,851.49 before settling at 1,844.02.

    Gold prices continue to break all-time highs. Today’s increase is due to a single-day gain of Rs. 2000 in fine gold, while tejabi gold has climbed by Rs. 1,950 from yesterday’s price.

    According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association’s official website, fine gold is now trading at Rs. 111,000 per tola. Yesterday, the tariff remained unchanged at Rs. 109,000 per tola. Meanwhile, Tejabi gold is currently trading at Rs. 110,450. In contrast, the cost was kept at Rs. 108,500 per tola yesterday.

    On March 19, 2023, the price of gold reached an all-time high on the Nepali market. Fine gold cost Rs. 110,000 a tola, while tejabi gold cost Rs. 109,500.

    Sagarmatha Jalvidyut Company Limited’s initial public offering (IPO) was completed today at Prabhu Capital Limited’s Kamaladi headquarters.

    Out of the total 43,68,000 units authorized for the general public, 10%, or 436,800 units, have already been issued and distributed to Nepalese people working abroad, 5%, or 218,400 units, have been put aside for mutual funds, and 3%, or 131,040 units, have been set aside for firm workers.

     

    The remaining 35,81,760 units were distributed to the general population between the 8th and 12th Chaitra, 2079.

    Following the IPO, the company’s paid-up capital will be Rs. 1.12 Arba. Moreover, the promoter-public share ratio would be 51: 49.

    The problem has received 13,93,153 genuine applications.

    “Mega Mutual Fund 1” is a closed-end fund with a 10-year maturity period. The fund size for the initial issue was Rs. 1.25 Arba.

    The fund has invested Rs. 83.86 crores in Falgun’s listed shares. Non-listed shares were worth Rs. 3.66 crores, and fixed deposits were worth Rs. 10 crores. The fund has bank deposits worth Rs. 3.30 crores and other assets worth Rs. 2.39 crores.
