    The company convened its 4th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year 2078/79 on the 26th of Ashwin, 2080. During this AGM, NESDO approved a 15% dividend, which includes applicable taxes, for the fiscal year 2078/79. The disbursement of this dividend into the bank accounts of shareholders commenced on the 29th of Ashwin, 2080.

    One of the key items on the AGM’s agenda is the endorsement of a 17.9342% cash dividend amounting to Rs. 4.57 Crores for the fiscal year 2078/79. Interestingly, during the 78th company meeting held on Chaita 10, 2079, a dividend of 73.6842% was proposed, including both bonus shares and cash dividends (inclusive of tax). This was based on the accumulated profits of the organization for the financial year 2078/79. However, subsequently, on Baisakh 04, 2080, the Nepal Rastra Bank approved a reduced dividend percentage of 17.9342%. In their 78th meeting on Chaita 10, 2079, the company proposed a dividend of 73.6842%, combining bonus and cash dividends (including tax), using the accumulated profit from the previous financial year. However, Nepal Rastra Bank later approved a dividend of 17.9342% on Baisakh 04, 2080.

    On Chaitra 09, the board of directors resolved to disburse the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 25.50 crores. There was a proposal for 50% bonus shares worth Rs. 12.75 crores and a cash dividend of 23.68% worth Rs. 6.03 crores.

    The dividend was only to be issued following clearance from Nepal Rastra Bank and approval from the company’s upcoming AGM. According to the NRB’s recommendations, the corporation has increased the dividend from Rs. 25.50 crores to a maximum of 17.93%.
