    NEPSE Soars by 56.94 Points, Closes at 2,186.36; Microfinance Index Surges


     

    The NEPSE index had a positive day as it closed at 2,186.36, gaining 56.94 points compared to the previous trading day. This signifies a gain of 2.67%. Yesterday, the index had also gained 11.69 points. The trading session began at 2,132.61 and reached its lowest point at 2,132.48. However, it quickly rebounded and reached a high of 2,186.68 before settling at 2,186.36 at the end of the day.

    During the day, there were 275 scrips that were traded through 80,398 transactions. A total of 13,107,080 shares were exchanged, amounting to a turnover of Rs. 5.47 Arba. This turnover is higher than the previous trading day’s turnover of Rs. 5.31 Arba.

    NEPSE has recently listed 28,81,180.9663 unit bonus shares of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL). This follows the bank’s 63rd Annual General Meeting held on Poush 29, where a 12% dividend was approved for the fiscal year 2078/79. During a board of directors meeting on Poush 01, it was decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 14.40 Arba, which included 2% bonus shares worth Rs. 28.81 Crore and 10% cash dividend (including bonus shares tax purposes) worth Rs. 1.44 Arba. These bonus shares are now listed in NEPSE, and the closing price of NBL shares stands at Rs. 245.

    Similarly, Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) has also listed 21,11,127.469 unit bonus shares in NEPSE. The company held its 10th Annual General Meeting for the fiscal year 2078/79 on Poush 30, 2079, where a 30% dividend was endorsed. During a board of directors meeting on Poush 04, it was decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 84.44 Crores, which included a 5% cash dividend (including tax) worth Rs. 4.22 Crores and a 25% bonus dividend worth Rs. 21.11 Crores. These bonus shares are now listed in NEPSE, and FOWAD shares closed at Rs. 1,104 on the previous trading day.

    The NEPSE index closed at 1,906 today, up 17.70 points from the previous trading day’s close. This represents a 0.94% increase. Yesterday, the index dropped 26.87 points.

    Today’s index opened at 1,885.7 and reached an intraday high of 1906.61. In contrast, it dropped as low as 1,865.75 before closing at 1,906.

    In 36,980 transactions, 261 scrips changed hands. A total of 4,308,645 shares were exchanged for a total of Rs. 1.38 Arba in turnover. This is more than the previous day’s turnover of Rs. 1.289 Arba.

    The ultimate merger procedure has been completed between Sana Kisan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SKBBL) and RMDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (RMDC). On Bhadra 31, 2079, the firms signed a merger agreement.

    Similarly, the share exchange ratio between Sana Kisan and RMDC has been determined to be 1:0.87. Investors who now own 100 shares of RMDC Microfinance will get 87 shares of the amalgamated firm.

    Similarly, it has been decided to nominate 2-2 persons from each institution’s promoter group, 1-1 person from the general group, and 1 person as an expert director, in accordance with the terms of the Bank and Financial Institutions Act of 2073.

    The bonus dividend of National Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMFBS) has been reduced from 38.5% to 34.45%.

    NMFBS proposed a Bonus Dividend of 38.5% for fiscal year 2078/79. The 141st board of directors meeting, held on Magh 9, proposed a 38.5% bonus from paid-up capital for fiscal year 2078/79. The company’s paid-up capital is Rs. 58.66 crores. As a result, the company proposed bonus shares worth Rs. 22.58 crores.

As per the report published by the mChhimek Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CBBL) reported an 11.56% increase in Net Profit in the second quarter of FY 2079/2080. According to the microfinance company’s report, net profit increased to Rs. 55.60 crore from Rs. 49.84 crore in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. The company’s borrowings fell by 2.69% to Rs. 4.64 Arba from Rs. 4.77 Arba in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. The company’s deposits increased by 9.41% to Rs 29.56 Arba. In this quarter, the company’s loans and advances increased by only 1.39% to 33.53 Arba.icro finance company, the net profit increased to Rs. 55.60 Crores as compared to Rs. 49.84 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

    Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) has begun distributing 5% cash dividends to its shareholders’ bank accounts as of today (15th Magh) and has urged them to dematerialize their shares.

    On Poush 30, 2079, the company held its 10th AGM for the fiscal year 2078/79. The board of directors approved a 30% dividend for fiscal year 2078/79. On Poush 04, the board of directors decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 84.44 crores. A 5% cash dividend (including tax) of Rs. 4.22 crores was proposed, along with a 25% bonus dividend of Rs. 21.11 crores. The same cash dividend is now paid out.
