    Garima Bikas Bank Limited has distributed 13% bonus shares directly to the DEMAT account of its shareholders and has urged them to dematerialize their shares. This was announced after the bank’s 16th AGM where it also endorsed a 14.5% dividend worth Rs. 66.56 Crores for the fiscal year 2078/79. The board of directors meeting held later decided to distribute a 14.5% dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 4.59 Arba.

    In addition to the bonus shares, 1.50% cash dividend worth Rs 6.88 Crores was proposed. The bonus shares were already listed in NEPSE. The bank has also requested its shareholders to pay the tax amount for the 16% bonus shares proposed for FY 2077/2078. The details of the tax amount that a shareholder has to pay can be found on the website of the share registrar NIBL Ace Capital Limited.

    The bank’s decision to distribute bonus shares and dividends is expected to benefit its shareholders. The distribution of bonus shares will increase their ownership in the bank, while the dividend payment will provide them with a direct cash payment.     Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) has recently given out 8% bonus shares to its shareholders. The bonus shares were distributed directly to the DEMAT accounts of the shareholders. AHPC has also encouraged its shareholders to dematerialize their shares. Dematerialization refers to the process of converting physical shares into electronic format.

    During the 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 27th Magh for the fiscal year 2078/79, AHPC approved an 8.421% dividend worth Rs. 21.11 Crores. The board of directors of AHPC, in a meeting held on Mangsir 16, decided to distribute the dividend to its shareholders based on the paid-up capital of Rs. 1.72 Arba. The dividend comprised of 8% bonus shares worth Rs. 13,83,67,600 and 0.421% cash dividend (for tax purposes) worth Rs. 72,81,595. It is important to note that the bonus shares have already been listed in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

    In order to receive the bonus shares and the cash dividend, shareholders of AHPC will need to dematerialize their shares at Muktinath Capital Limited, which is located in Naxal, Kathmandu. This is because the bonus shares have already been issued in electronic form, so shareholders will need to have DEMAT accounts to receive them. This return was based on the paid-up capital of Rs. 1.12 Arba. The company’s board of directors had proposed a 15% bonus share and a 6.05% cash dividend (including tax) worth Rs. 16.83 crores and Rs. 6.79 crore, respectively, during the 403rd meeting held on Poush 27.

    Following the announcement, the bonus shares of SWBBL were made available for trading on NEPSE. The microfinance company had closed at Rs. 745 as of the previous day’s market close.     Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL) has proposed to issue 200% rights shares to its shareholders. The company aims to invest 60% of the newly raised capital in the Ganesh Himal Hydropower’s 20 M.W- Ankhu Khola-2 Hydropower project. This decision was made during a board of directors meeting held on Baishakh 15, 2079.

    After the issuance of right shares at a ratio of 1:2, AKJCL’s paid-up capital will increase from Rs. 80 crores to Rs. 1.60 Arba. On Chaitra 23, 2079, a meeting was held where it was decided to invest 60% in the Ankhu Khola-2 Hydropower project. The investment agreement between the two companies was signed on Chaitra 24, 2079.

    The Ankhu Khola-2 Hydropower project is designed to generate 122.16 GWh of electricity annually, based on a river flow rate of 27.73 cubic meters per second and a total head of 91 meters. The electricity produced will be transmitted to the national grid through a 5 km transmission line via the Nepal Electricity Authority’s proposed Lapang Substation.

    AKJCL plans to invest the Rs. 96 crores received from legitimate shares in the Ganesh Himal Hydropower project. The remaining funds will be used to pay off loans and other obligations owed to banks and other financial organizations. However, the issuance of right shares will only occur after approval from the Electricity Regulatory Commission and endorsement by the company’s upcoming AGM.

    Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) has announced that its 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) will now be held on 9th Jestha, 2080. The meeting was originally scheduled for 29th Poush, 2079, but was rescheduled. The AGM will take place at Arpan Banquet in Nayabaneshwor, Kathmandu, starting at 11 am on the specified day.

    The agendas for the AGM include endorsing the annual report for the fiscal year 2078/79 prepared by the board of directors, approving the auditor’s report for the same period, appointing an auditor for the fiscal year 2079/80, and approving their compensation. On Kartik 24, 2079, the board of directors voted to pay a 14.5% dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 4.59 Arba. There was a proposal for 13% bonus shares worth Rs. 59.68 crores and a 1.50% cash dividend (including tax) worth Rs 6.88 crores. NEPSE now lists the same bonus shares.
