    Kalika Laghubitta Promoter Shares Auction Begins Today


    The current owners of Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMCDB) are offering 61,000 shares for auction to existing shareholders, starting from December 27, 2080. Among them, Santosh Shrestha plans to sell 56,000 shares, Padam Pani Kafle aims to sell 1,500 shares, and Bimala Sapkota Lamichanne intends to sell 3,500 shares to other existing promoters.

    This auction is exclusively open to current promoters, and they have a 35-day window from the notice date (December 27, 2080) to submit their bids. Interested shareholders must present their bids at the company’s central office in Pokhara.

    Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMCDB) has released its fourth-quarter report for the recently concluded financial year 2079-80. The report shows a significant drop of 64.01 percent in its Net profits compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year 2078-79. In specific numbers, the company earned only Rs. 4.62 crores, a notable decline from Rs. 12.84 crores.

    The company has experienced losses in two key areas: Net Interest Income and Operating Profits. Net Interest Income saw a decrease of 13.48 percent, while Operating Profits plummeted by 64.04 percent. Throughout the entire financial year 2079-80, the company generated a core business revenue of Rs. 25.50 crores and managed to accumulate Rs. 6.60 crores in Operating profits.

    Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMCDB) has successfully listed 5,94,463.2816 units of bonus shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

    During the company’s 13th Annual General Meeting held on 29th Chaitra, it was decided to distribute a 20% dividend for the fiscal year 2078/79. The board of directors proposed a distribution of 19% bonus shares worth Rs. 5.94 Crores and a 1% cash dividend (for tax purposes) worth Rs. 31.28 Lakhs on the paid-up capital of Rs. 31.28 Crores.

    These bonus shares have now been officially listed on the NEPSE platform. As of the previous trading day, KMCDB’s closing price stood at Rs. 709.

    Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (KMCDB) released its second-quarter report for FY 2079/2080, which showed a 67.92% decrease in net profit. According to the company’s report, net profit fell to Rs. 2.69 crores from Rs. 8.40 crores in the previous year’s corresponding quarter.

    The decrease in growth profit is primarily due to impairment charges totaling Rs. 1.66 crores. Net interest income (core revenue) has also decreased by 9.23% to Rs. 13.7 crores from Rs. 15.16 crores in the same quarter last year.
