    Nepal Investment Mega Bank Initiates Auction of Promoter Shares: Exclusive Opportunity for Existing Shareholders


    The current promoter of Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited (NIMB) has initiated the auction of 2,55,741 units of shares, exclusively targeting existing promoter shareholders, starting from today, the 30th of Falgun, 2080.

    In this auction process, only the existing promoters of NIMB are eligible to participate in the bidding, and they have a window of 35 days from the date of the notice publication, concluding on the 30th of Falgun, to submit their bids.

    All interested shareholders are required to submit their bids at the central office of the bank, conveniently located in Lazimpat, Kathmandu. It’s noteworthy that if no bids are received from existing founder shareholders within the specified timeframe, the shares will subsequently be made available for auction to the general public.

    As of the latest update, NIMB is listed with a Last Traded Price (LTP) of Rs. 172.90. Simultaneously, NIMBPO, another class of shares associated with the bank, closed at Rs. 140.10.     Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) has notified its investors and stakeholders regarding the impending expiration of the lock-in period for 36,512 unit shares held by Mutual Funds. The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has directed that this lock-in period will conclude on 1st Chaitra, 2080.

    HATHY, with a total of 25,740,000 units of shares listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), had allocated 5 percent of 29,25,000 shares exclusively for Mutual Funds, resulting in the issuance of 146,250 unit shares. However, only 36,512 units are currently subject to the lock-in period.

    In compliance with SEBON’s directives issued on Mangsir 25, a portion of these shares, precisely 36,512 units, were placed under a lock-in period. Stakeholders and investors are now informed that the lock-in period for these 36,512 unit shares concluded on Chaitra 1.

    The closing market price for HATHY stood at Rs. 863.90 as of the previous trading day.

    Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) recently saw 23,40,000 unit bonus shares listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). This comes after the company’s 15th Annual General Meeting held on Poush 26, 2080, where it approved a 10.526% dividend for the fiscal year 2079/80. The dividend included a proposal for 10% bonus shares and 0.526% cash dividend, calculated from the paid-up capital of Rs. 1.17 Arba. Now, these bonus shares are available for trading on NEPSE. Yesterday, HATHY closed at Rs. 830.00 per share.

    The Nabil Balanced Fund 2 (NBF2) is a 10-year closed-end mutual fund scheme, and its Net Asset Value (NAV) report for the month of Magh reveals a decrease in NAV from Rs. 10.31 to Rs. 10.15. Starting with a fund size of Rs. 1.12 Arba, it invested Rs. 88.37 crores in listed company shares, Rs. 1.12 crore in non-listed shares, and Rs. 20.77 crore in listed debentures. Additionally, it holds a bank balance of Rs. 87.68 lakhs. Despite a net profit of Rs. 1.27 crores in Magh, there’s a decline from the previous month’s net profit of Rs. 3.09 crores.

    Another 10-year closed-end fund, Nabil Balanced Fund III (NBF3), started with a fund size of Rs. 1.25 Arba. In Magh, it invested Rs. 85.31 crores in listed shares, Rs. 1.01 crore in non-listed shares, and holds Rs. 7.49 crores in bank deposits. NBF3 reports a net profit of Rs. 2.30 crores in Magh, a positive shift from the previous month’s loss of Rs. 3.58 crores. The NAV for Magh is Rs. 9.33, compared to Rs. 9.43 in the previous month.

    The NAV report for Nabil Flexi Cap Fund (NFCF), an open-end mutual fund scheme without a fixed maturity period, discloses a slight increase in NAV from Rs. 10.31 to Rs. 10.32 in Magh. With a fund size of Rs. 54.17 crores, NFCF invested Rs. 33.17 crores in listed shares, Rs. 2.75 crores in bonds and debentures, and has Rs. 5 crores in fixed deposits and Rs. 15.24 crores in bank balance. The fund reports a net profit of Rs. 2.46 crores in Magh, a marginal rise from the previous month’s profit of Rs. 2.39 crores.

    Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited (NIMB) has recently completed the allotment process for the public offering of the “10% NIMB Debenture 2090” on the 10th of Falgun, 2080. The issuance, which commenced on the 1st of Falgun, concluded on the 4th of Falgun, 2080.

    A total of 40.40 lakh units were made available during the issuance, each having a par value of Rs. 1000. Out of the entire unit allocation, 60%, equivalent to 24.24 lakh units, was designated for subscription through private placement. Meanwhile, the remaining 16.16 lakh units, valued at Rs. 1.61 Arba, were open for public subscription. Additionally, 5%, amounting to 80.80 thousand units, were specifically set aside for mutual funds. The overall funds to be generated from this issuance are expected to total Rs. 4.40 Arba.

    The “10% NIMB Debenture 2090” is aptly named, signifying its nature as a debenture with a maturity period spanning 10 years and a fixed coupon rate of 10%. Prabhu Capital Limited played the role of the issue manager throughout this process.
