    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index faced a significant setback, recording a loss of 70.31 points or 3.38% from the previous day’s closing, concluding at 2,007.69 points. The market witnessed a remarkable surge of 6% on the preceding day, leading to a series of trading halts and ultimately resulting in the early closure of the market. The total turnover in NEPSE during this period reached an impressive Rs 37.52 Crores, with the market concluding at 2,078 points, reflecting a noteworthy triple-digit gain of 117.70 points.

    The trading day commenced with the NEPSE index opening at 2,094.71, experiencing an intraday low of 2,003.77 and reaching a peak at 2,095.19. In today’s trading session, 316 different stocks were traded in 69,208 transactions, with a total volume of shares traded amounting to 11,467,599 and a turnover of Rs. 4.11 Arba. The market’s total capitalization stood at Rs. 31.55 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.78 Kharba.

    Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) dominated the turnover, reaching Rs. 41.91 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 493.80. Among the gainers, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) led with a gain of 8.73%, followed by Global IME Balanced Fund-1 (GIBF1) with a gain of 7.85%. On the downside, Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited (BNL) suffered the most significant loss of 10%, trailed by Joshi Hydropower Development Company Ltd (JOSHI) with a loss of 9.99%.

    Regarding sector indices, only the “Mutual Fund Index” managed to close in the green, gaining 0.66%, while the “Others Index” experienced the most substantial loss at 4.35%.

The volume of shares traded amounted to 7,624,376, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 2.59 Arba. The market capitalization settled at Rs. 32.78 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.23 Kharba.

    Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) emerged as the leader in turnover, totaling Rs. 33.76 crore, concluding the day with a market price of Rs. 704.90. Additionally, Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) experienced the highest gain of 9.99%, followed by Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) with a gain of 9.42%.

    On the downside, Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) faced the highest loss of 10%. Regarding sector indices, two sectors closed in the red on this particular day. The “Manufacturing And Processing Index” observed the highest gain of 1.08%, while the “Others Index” incurred a loss of 0.55%.

This decline follows a positive trend in the previous trading day, which witnessed a gain of 35.39 points for the index.

    The market’s opening for the day was at 2,148.16, with an intraday low of 2,102.79 and a high of 2,154.51. In today’s trading activities, 304 different stocks were exchanged in 111,980 transactions. The total volume of shares traded amounted to 17,172,149, with an overall turnover of Rs. 6.27 Arba. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.65 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.25 Kharba.

    SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) dominated the market with the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 30.68 crores, and closing at a market price of Rs. 590. Notably, eight companies experienced positive circuit movements on this trading day.

    However, SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Company Limited (SJLIC) and Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) faced the highest losses, declining by 7.44% and 7.26%, respectively.

    Examining sector-wise performance, all sectors closed in the red, except for the “Manufacturing And Processing” and “Trading Index.” The “Manufacturing And Processing” sector observed the highest gain of 2.36%, while the “Development Bank Index” registered a loss of 3.23%.

    NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) had the highest turnover of Rs. 5.01 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 690 per share. The shares of HBL were the most actively traded during the session.

    Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) experienced the highest gain, surging by 9.99% and hitting the positive circuit for the day. On the other hand, Mai Khola Hydropower Limited (MKHL) witnessed a significant loss of 10% during the trading session.

    Out of the various sector indices, only two closed in the red. The “Non-Life Insurance” sector index experienced the highest gain of 0.99%, while the “Others” sector index recorded the highest loss of 0.89% for the day.

The trading day opened at 1,870.41, and the intraday high was 1,872.22, while the intraday low was 1,848.80, closing at 1,850.61.

    During today’s trading, a total of 263 scrips were traded via 23,051 transactions, with 2,015,959 shares exchanged for a turnover of Rs. 60.81 crores. This was lower than the previous day’s turnover of Rs. 73.26 crores. Shivam Cements Ltd (SHIVM) had the most shares traded and the highest turnover of Rs. 3.22 crores, with a market price of Rs. 400 per share. Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) had the highest gain of 8.22% for the day, while NMB Debenture 8.50% – 2087/88 (NMBD87/88) suffered the highest loss of 8.83% for the day.

    All sector indices experienced a decline, with “Hydropower” experiencing the highest loss of 2.04%, while “Mutual Fund” had the least decline of 0.05%. Overall, the NEPSE index had a relatively tough trading day, with a decline in the index and the majority of the sector indices experiencing losses.

NIBL Growth Fund (NIBLGF) gained the highest 9.86% for the day, while NMB Debenture 8.50% – 2087/88 (NMBD87/88) lost the highest 5.85%.

    All sector indices closed in the green, with “Non-Life Insurance” gaining the highest 1.55%, and “Investment” gaining the least 0.32% today.
