    EBL Proposes 20.53% Dividend for FY 2079/80


    Everest Bank Limited (EBL) has proposed a 20.53% dividend for the fiscal year 2079/80. In their 357th Board of Directors (BODs) meeting on Bhadra 27, they decided to distribute this dividend as a 10.53% cash dividend and a 10% bonus share from their paid-up capital, which is currently at Rs. 10.69 Arba. It’s important to note that the cash dividend already includes the tax amount for the bonus shares. However, this decision is pending approval from the NRB (Nepal Rastra Bank), and it will be finalized in the upcoming AGM (Annual General Meeting) of the bank.

    NEPSE has listed 746,830 units of “7.5% Everest Bank Limited Urja Rinpatra (Energy Bond) 2089.”

    From the 25th Poush to the 09th Magh of 2079, Everest Bank Limited (EBL) issued 20,00,000 units of “7.5% Everest Bank Limited Urja Rinpatra (Energy Bond) 2089.”

    From the overall offer of 20 lakh units, 12 lakh units were subscribed through private placement, while the remaining 8 lakh units worth Rs. 80 crores were open for public issue, with 5% reserved for mutual funds.

    As the name implies, the “7.5% Everest Bank Limited Urja Rinpatra (Energy Bond) 2089” would provide unit holders with 7.5% yearly yields till maturity, which is in the year 2089 BS (10 years).

    The Vijaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (VLBS) transaction has been halted, according to the official notice of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), since the business declared dividends to be given to shareholders without first receiving authorisation from NEPSE.

    At 6:35 PM on Magh 25, after business hours, Nepal Stock Exchange received the letter from VLBS regarding the dividend declaration for the Fiscal Year 2078/79. However, on Magh 10 itself, Vijaya Laghubitta held a meeting to suggest dividends to the shareholders.
