    Today marks the deadline to claim the 11% cash dividend offered by Siddhartha Premier Insurance Limited (SPIL). The company has scheduled its 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 30th of Falgun, 2080. This gathering will take place at Lisara Receptions, Bhagwati Bahal, Kathmandu, commencing at 11:00 a.m.

    During the 19th Board of Directors meeting held on Magh 21, it was decided to distribute an 11% cash dividend, inclusive of taxes. The total value of this dividend amounts to Rs. 30.87 crores. SPIL currently maintains a paid-up capital of Rs. 2.80 Arba.

    In the 55th board meeting held on Magh 25, it was decided to distribute dividends based on the paid-up capital of Rs. 10 Arba. The proposal includes 4% bonus shares and a 0.21% cash dividend (for tax purposes). This translates to bonus shares valued at Rs. 40 crores and a cash dividend of Rs. 2.10 crores.

    On the first trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a drop, with the index falling by 27.21 points or 1.31% compared to the previous day, closing at 2,034.82 points. This continues a trend from the previous Thursday when the index went down by 14.46 points.

    Starting today’s trading, the market opened at 2,060.68, reaching a high of 2,062.32 during the day and a low of 2,030.29. Ultimately, it ended at 2,034.82 levels.

    The price of fine gold in Nepal has dropped by Rs. 1,200 per tola according to the latest update from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA). Today’s trading rate for fine gold stands at Rs. 1,16,500 per tola, down from yesterday’s closing rate of Rs. 1,17,700 per tola. Similarly, Tejabi gold is now priced at Rs. 1,15,950 per tola, showing a decrease of Rs. 1,200 compared to yesterday’s closing price of Rs. 1,17,150 per tola.

    Sarbottam Cement plans to issue 12.9033% of its total issued capital, which amounts to Rs 4.65 billion. This equates to 6 million shares, valued at Rs 6 billion. Initially, 40% of these shares, totaling 2.4 million, were allocated to Qualified Institutional Investors (QIIs), leaving 60% for the general public.

    Of the 3.6 million shares designated for the public, 930,000 were distributed to locals affected by the industry in Nawalparasi District or by mining in Palpa District. The remaining 2.67 million shares were intended for Nepalese citizens employed abroad. Eventually, the remaining 2.403 million shares will be made available to the general public.

    In T+1, what is the final time I can do the EDIS. Is it 3pm or that entire day?


    Just reazlied after my broker’s email that EDIS didn’t went through, so submitted it about an hour after 3 pm when nepse close, Will they charge 20% or will it count T+1 still. I sold them yesterday, so today all day should be technically T+1 right?
