    Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) is launching a home loan scheme featuring a fixed interest rate of 9.99% for the initial seven years, providing customers with an opportunity to realize their dream homes. Following this initial period, a premium rate, 1% higher than the bank’s average monthly base rate, will be applicable.

    The home loan package encompasses a 0.50% management fee and offers additional benefits, including a complimentary credit card, debit card, and a 50% discount on locker facility fees for the first year. This initiative is aimed at facilitating and encouraging individuals in acquiring housing loans with favorable terms.

    CZBIL, with a widespread presence of 190 branches and 152 ATMs across the nation, serves a significant customer base of 17 lakh 26 thousand through 97 branchless banking units, providing modern banking services to meet diverse financial needs.

The proposed distribution included 5% bonus shares and a 0.2632% cash dividend (for tax purposes), all derived from the company’s paid-up capital of Rs. 3.75 Arba.

    The bonus shares, as approved during the AGM, are now officially listed on NEPSE. CLI’s closing market price as of the previous day stood at Rs. 434.00. The listing of bonus shares reflects CLI’s commitment to providing returns to its shareholders, reinforcing its financial standing and attractiveness in the market.

    Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) has disclosed its financial performance for the second quarter of fiscal year 2080/81, revealing a 6.96% decline in net profit to Rs 78.27 Crores. The bank’s total paid-up capital is reported at Rs. 14.20 Arba, with reserves amounting to Rs. 6.77 Arba. However, retained earnings have recorded a negative value of Rs 21.3 Crores.

    During the mentioned quarter, the bank experienced a significant increase in total deposits, reaching Rs 1.75 Kharba, while loans and advances to customers reached Rs 1.48 Kharba. Despite a marginal 0.21% decrease, the Net Interest Income remained substantial at Rs. 2.83 Arba. However, the bank faced challenges with personnel expenses amounting to Rs. 93.01 Crores and impairment charges of Rs. 85.95 Crores.

    In terms of financial metrics, the second quarter reported an annualized EPS of Rs 11.02, and the net worth per share stood at Rs 146.20. However, CZBIL grapples with a spike in Non-Performing Loans (NPL) to 4.07%. Additionally, the revelation of a negative distributable profit of Rs. 21.30 Crores adds a significant dimension to CZBIL’s financial narrative during this period.

    Examining specific figures, the paid-up capital remained constant at Rs. 14,200,974.01, and reserves witnessed a 14.52% increase to 6,774,208.15. Deposits showed a notable 4.13% rise to Rs 175,808,073.73, while loans and advances increased by 6.06% to Rs 148,304,167.36. Net Interest Income experienced a marginal decrease of 0.21% but remained substantial at Rs. 2.83 Arba. Personnel expenses and impairment charges were reported at Rs. 930.18 Crores and Rs. 859.50 Crores, respectively.

    The operating profit for the quarter was Rs 1,086,454.06, reflecting an 8.85% decrease, and the net profit stood at Rs 782,784.84, representing a 6.96% decline. Furthermore, the disclosure of a negative distributable profit of Rs. 21.30 Crores underscores the financial challenges faced by CZBIL. The capital adequacy ratio is reported at 13.00%, showing an increase from the previous year. The Cost of Fund decreased by 15.73% to 7.77%. The NPL percentage increased significantly by 36.12%, reaching 4.07%. The Qtr end PE Ratio stands at 15.61 times, and the Qtr End Market Price is reported at 172.1.

    An agreement between Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) and the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has been formalized for the listing of the “10% Citizens Bank Debenture 2090 (CIZBD90).” The agreement marks the listing of 30,00,000 units at a par value of Rs. 1000 per unit. The debenture issue commenced on the 17th of Ashwin and concluded on the 22nd of Ashwin, 2080.

    Facilitating the listing process, Himalayan Capital Limited served as the issue manager for the 10% Citizens Bank Debenture 2090. This debenture, with a maturity period of 10 years and a coupon rate of 10%, presents investors with a long-term investment opportunity.

    Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited (CLI) has scheduled its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 14th of Magh, 2080. The venue for the meeting is Amrapali Banquet, Naxal, Kathmandu, and it is set to commence at 11 AM on that day.

    One of the key agendas for the AGM is the endorsement of a 5.2632% dividend for the fiscal year 2079/80. This proposal comes from the 97th board of directors meeting held on Poush 16. The suggested dividend includes 5% bonus shares and a 0.2632% cash dividend, amounting to Rs. 18.75 crores and Rs. 98.68 lakhs, respectively. The company’s existing paid-up capital stands at Rs. 3.75 Arba.

    Additionally, the AGM will address other important matters, including the approval of the auditor’s report with profit and loss statements, financial reports, and cash flow reports. The appointment of an auditor for the fiscal year 2080/81 and the election of 2 directors from the public shareholding group are also on the agenda.

    The book closure date for entitlement to the dividend payout and attendance at the AGM is set for Poush 29. Shareholders who maintain their status before this date are eligible for the dividend.

    In a ceremony held at Dillibazar, Kathmandu, United Mewa Khola Hydropower Limited officially entered into an Initial Public Offering (IPO) Issue Management Agreement with Citizens Capital Limited. The agreement, signed by Mr. Aashish Thapa, the Executive Chairman of United Mewa Khola Hydropower Limited, and Mr. Sabir Bade Shrestha, the CEO of Citizens Capital Limited, outlines the collaboration for managing the IPO.

    Under the terms of the agreement, Citizens Capital Limited, a subsidiary of Citizens Bank International Limited, will take charge of overseeing the Initial Public Offering for United Mewa Khola Hydropower Limited. The IPO aims to issue ordinary shares to both affected locals and the general public.

    United Mewa Khola Hydropower Limited is currently engaged in the development of its project titled “Mewa Khola Jalbidhyut Ayojana” situated in Taplejung District. This hydropower project is designed to generate 50 megawatts of power. The signing of the IPO Issue Management Agreement marks a significant step for United Mewa Khola Hydropower Limited as it progresses towards making its shares available to the public through the IPO managed by Citizens Capital Limited.

    The current promoter of Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) has initiated the auction of 70,490.61 units of shares, exclusively available to interested existing promoter shareholders, starting today.

    Ila Sharma plans to divest 70,490.61 units of promoter shares, and the auction is open exclusively to current promoter shareholders. The minimum bid rate for the auction has been set at Rs. 150. Those interested in participating in the auction are urged to submit their bids within 35 days from the publication date of this notice, i.e., by the 18th of Mangsir.

    To participate, shareholders are required to submit their bids at the central office of the bank, situated at Narayanhiti Path, Kathmandu. In the event that no bids are received from the existing founder shareholders within the stipulated timeframe, the shares will subsequently be made available for auction to the general public.

    As of the last trading day, CZBIL closed at Rs. 162. Additionally, CZBILP reported a Last Traded Price (LTP) of Rs. 108.00 as of October 1, 2023.

    The “Citizens Super 30 Mutual Fund (C30MF),” a closed-end fund with a 10-year maturity, has released its Net Asset Value (NAV) report for the month of Ashwin. The NAV in Ashwin stands at Rs. 10.02, a decrease from Rs. 10.25 a month ago. The fund’s total size is Rs. 75.07 Crores, with investments of Rs. 28.40 crore in listed shares and Rs. 31.84 lakhs in non-listed shares. It has allocated Rs. 10 crore to fixed return assets, Rs. 2.25 crore to debentures, and Rs. 33.73 crore to the bank balance.

    However, the fund has reported an increased net loss of Rs. 1.54 crores up to Ashwin, whereas in the previous month, it had a net profit of Rs. 17.69 lakhs.

    Additionally, “Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1),” a 7-year closed-end mutual fund, has published its monthly report for Ashwin 2080. The NAV has decreased to Rs. 9.40 from Rs. 9.75. The fund, which began with a size of Rs. 82 crores, has investments of Rs. 46.52 crores in listed company shares and Rs. 29.90 lakhs in non-listed shares. It has allocated Rs. 4 crores to fixed return assets, Rs. 16.34 crores to debentures, and Rs. 7.71 crore to the bank balance.

    CMF1 has reported a net loss of Rs. 6.95 crores until Ashwin, whereas in the previous month, it reported a net loss of Rs. 4.02 crores.

    Lastly, “Citizens Mutual Fund-2 (CMF2),” another 7-year closed-end fund offered by Citizens Capital Limited, has released its NAV report for the month of Ashwin, 2080. The NAV has decreased to Rs. 9.16 by the end of Ashwin, down from 9.46 the previous month. The fund started with a size of Rs. 56 crores and invested Rs. 34.92 crores in listed company shares and Rs. 39.93 lakhs in non-listed shares. It allocated Rs. 10.08 crores to debentures and Rs. 3.40 crores to the bank balance.

    CMF2 has reported a net loss of Rs. 4.73 crores until the end of Ashwin, with a net loss of Rs. 3.05 crores in the previous month. It’s worth noting that CMF2 distributed an 8% cash dividend to its unitholders for the financial year 2079/80.
