    Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) has announced that today is the final day for shareholders to claim the proposed dividend.

    The company has scheduled its 28th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 31st of Ashad, 2080. The meeting will take place at the company’s head office in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, commencing at 3 pm.

    Among the various agenda items, the AGM will approve a dividend of 26.3158% for the fiscal year 2078/79. This decision was made during a board of directors meeting on Baisakh 29. The proposed dividend includes 25% bonus shares and 1.3158% cash dividend (for tax purposes). The current paid-up capital of CIT is Rs 4,251,000,576. Additionally, the AGM will also involve the election of a director and the appointment of a representative to sign the decision book on behalf of the shareholders and directors.

    The book closure date for dividend entitlement is Ashad 19. Shareholders who hold shares until today are eligible to receive the dividend and can also participate in the AGM.

    Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) has released its unaudited report for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2079-2080, showing a significant increase in net profit. The company recorded a net profit of Rs. 77.79 crores, marking a 26.15% increase from the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

    During this quarter, CIT made investments amounting to Rs. 2.12 Kharba, which is a 13.02% increase compared to the relevant quarter of the previous year. According to the report published by the company, the paid-up capital currently stands at Rs. 4.25 Arba. However, the share premium of the company decreased by 77.56% and now stands at Rs. 28.38 crores.

    The earnings per share (EPS) for CIT during this quarter was Rs. 24.40 on an annualized basis. Additionally, the company reported a Return on Investment (ROI) of 9.67% and a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 85.65 times for the third quarter of FY 2079/80. Overall, this unaudited report suggests that CIT has performed well in this quarter, with notable growth in net profit and investments.

    Ingwa Hydropower Limited is completing the distribution of 6,00,000 units of IPO shares to project-affected locals today, Chaitra 20, 2079. The problem had begun on the 21st of Falgun, 2079.

    The company’s issued capital is Rs. 60 crores, of which 10%, or 6,00,000 unit shares worth Rs. 6 crores, have been allocated to project-affected Taplejung District residents. Meanwhile, 20% of the company’s issued capital, or 12,00,000 unit shares, will be made available to the general public later. This public issue, which closed on the 5th Chaitra, allocated 10% of the shares totaling 120,000 units to Nepalese citizens working abroad.
