NEPSE Index Rises by 16.29 Points


The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index climbed by 16.29 points today, marking a 0.80% increase, closing at 2,053.38 points. This rise follows a previous session’s loss of 14.83 points.

The trading day began with the index at 2,038.7 points, dipping to an intraday low of 2,030.38 points. It reached a high of 2,053.38 points before closing at this final value.

Today’s trading session included 323 stocks across 44,169 transactions, with a total volume of 7,165,735 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 2.99 Arba.

Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) led the market in turnover, achieving Rs. 19.13 Crores and closing at Rs. 873 per share. Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) recorded the highest gain of 9.74% for the day. In contrast, Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) experienced a 10% loss.

In sector performance, only two sector indices ended the day in negative territory. The “Banking Index” recorded the highest sectoral gain at 2.04%, while the “Finance Index” saw the most significant loss, declining by 0.83%.
