The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a decline of 5.37 points today, a decrease of 0.25%, closing at 2,062.94 points. This follows a loss of 10.44 points in the previous trading session.
The trading day commenced with the index at 2,068.71 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,079.76 points. The index experienced a low of 2,057.34 points before settling at the closing value of 2,062.94 points.
Today’s trading session involved 317 stocks across 61,513 transactions, with a total trading volume of 9,561,727 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 4.37 Arba.
Pokhara Finance Ltd. (PFL) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 17.13 Crores and closing at Rs. 662.90 per share. Five companies hit the positive circuit for the day, each surging by 10%.
Conversely, Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (GILB) faced a significant loss, dropping by 6.58%.
In sector performance, only three sector indices concluded the day in positive territory. The “Finance Index” recorded the highest sectoral gain of 5.49%, while “Microfinance” saw the highest loss, declining by 1.23%.
