    NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) has published its second-quarter report for the fiscal year 2080/2081, indicating a significant increase in net profit by 188.03%. Despite this surge, the net profit rose to Rs. 1.63 crores compared to Rs. 56.78 lakhs in the same quarter of the previous year.

    The company’s paid-up capital stands at Rs. 1.22 billion, with retained earnings amounting to Rs. 6.47 crores and an investment revaluation reserve of Rs. 54.15 crores. During Q2 of FY 2080/81, NRN has invested Rs. 34.27 crores in associates.

    Rangoon Khola Hydropower Limited is set to convene its inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 9th of Falgun, 2080. The meeting, scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM at the Company’s Register Office in Sukedhara, Kathmandu, holds significant importance as it addresses crucial agenda items. Among them, the AGM will focus on the endorsement of the company’s annual report, including key financial aspects such as profit and loss statements, financial reports, and cash flow reports for the fiscal year 2079/80. Additionally, the shareholders will deliberate on the appointment of auditors and determine their remuneration, shaping the financial oversight and transparency of Rangoon Khola Hydropower Limited in the upcoming fiscal year.     The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index concluded at 1,858.56 points, registering a slight loss of 5.83 points or 0.31% compared to the previous day’s closing. Notably, the index had experienced a more significant drop of 14.29 points during the last trading session.

    The day’s trading activities commenced with the index opening at 1,864.19, reaching an intraday low of 1,853.49, while achieving an intraday high of 1,872.19.

    Throughout today’s trading, a total of 296 different stocks were actively traded in 77,870 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 3,364,056 units, with a cumulative turnover of Rs. 81.20 Crore. The overall market capitalization stood at Rs. 28.62 Kharba, and the float market capitalization was at Rs. 10.03 Kharba.

    Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) led in terms of turnover, with a trading value of Rs. 14.60 crores, and it closed at a market price of Rs. 234.80.

    Similarly, Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) showed the most substantial gain of 9.39% during the day’s trading.

    On the downside, Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) recorded the most significant loss, declining by 7.99% on the day.

    Regarding sector indices, all indices, except the “Investment Index,” closed in the red. The “Investment Index” gained the highest, increasing by 0.08%, while the “Hotels And Tourism Index” saw the most notable decline of 1.01% for the day.

    According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association’s official website, fine gold is now trading for Rs. 104,100 per tola. Yesterday, the pricing remained unchanged at Rs. 103,500 per tola. Meanwhile, Tejabi gold is currently trading for Rs. 103,600. In contrast, the cost was kept at Rs. 103,000 per tola yesterday.

    Silver has gained Rs. 10 per tola on the sidelines. The gleaming white gold is currently trading in the local market for Rs. 1,255 per tola, up from Rs. 1,245 per tola yesterday.

    Gold is currently trading at USD $1,877.10 per ounce on the international market, while silver is trading at USD $1.30 per ounce.
