    IME Life Insurance Company Limited is concluding the issuance of 96,00,000 unit shares to the general public starting from today, which is the 25th of Ashad. The issuance began on the 21st of Ashad, 2080.

    The company has an issued capital of Rs. 4 Arba, out of which 30% or 1,20,00,000 unit shares are allocated for the public, including Nepalese citizens working abroad and the general public. Among the total shares issued, 10% or 12,00,000 unit shares were reserved for Nepalese citizens working abroad, while 5% or 600,000 units were set aside for the employees of the company. Additionally, 5% or 600,000 units were allocated for mutual funds. The remaining 96,00,000 units are being offered to the general public.

Throughout the day, there were 65,317 transactions involving 293 scrips. The total turnover amounted to Rs. 3.79 Arba, which is higher than the previous day’s turnover of Rs. 3.04 Crores.

    Synergy Power Development Company (SPDL) has announced the book closure date for its 50% right shares, which is set for Shrawan 12, 2080. This means that shareholders who held shares before that date will be eligible for the rights offering.

    The hydropower company plans to issue 50% right shares valued at Rs. 40.32 Crores. This will involve the issuance of 4,032,875 (in a ratio of 1:0.50) units of right shares to its existing shareholders. Currently, the company has a paid-up capital of Rs. 80,65,75,000. Upon the completion of the proposed right share adjustment, the paid-up capital will increase to Rs. 120.98 crores.

    During the trading session, a total of 287 scrips were traded through 73,446 transactions. The total shares exchanged amounted to 8,352,576, with a turnover of Rs. 3.04 Arba. Although the turnover was slightly lower than the previous trading day’s Rs. 3.07 Crores, it was still a significant amount.

In a board meeting on Falgun 15, it was decided to distribute 13.56% bonus shares worth Rs. 6.70 Crores and a cash dividend of 0.713829% worth Rs. 35.26 Lakh on the paid-up capital of Rs. 49.40 crores. As of the latest update, the Last Traded Price (LTP) for SMFDB stands at Rs. 945.

    The Securities Exchange Board of Nepal (SEBON) has given the green light to the initial public offering (IPO) proposals of Chirkhwa Hydropower Limited and Bhagwati Hydropower Development Company Limited on Ashad 20, 2080. Chirkhwa Hydropower will issue 1,200,000 equity shares at a par value of NPR 100 each, amounting to Rs. 12 Crore, which is 30% of the company’s issued capital. The total paid-up capital for the company will be Rs. 40 crore after the IPO allotment. RBB Merchant Banking Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for the IPO issuance, with the proposal initially submitted on Kartik 17, 2079.

    The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has given its approval for Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) to issue 100% right shares. The company plans to issue shares worth NPR 10.59 Arba, equivalent to 105,900,000 units of right shares on a 1:1 basis to its existing shareholders. The application for this proposal was submitted to SEBON on Falgun 18, 2079.

    Once the proposed right shares are adjusted, the paid-up capital of Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited will increase to NPR 21.18 Arba. Sunrise Capital has been appointed as the issue manager for this process.

    Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited operates the 456-MW Upper Tamakoshi Hydroelectric Project in the Dolkha district of Bagmati Province, Nepal. As of mid-July 2022, the company’s paid-up capital stands at NPR 10,590 million, with 51% held by promoters and 49% held by the public. The project, which is the largest operational project in Nepal, is of the peaking run-of-the-river (PROR) type, with a peaking capacity of four hours, developed at a 32% probability of exceedance (Q32).

    Upper Syange Hydropower Concludes IPO Allotment; Shares Issued to General Public

    The IPO allotment process for Upper Syange Hydropower Limited has been completed at the premises of Siddhartha Capital Limited in Kathmandu. The company had previously offered 539,500 units of IPO shares with a face value of Rs 100 to the general public from the 10th to the 13th of Ashad, 2080. Additionally, 2,20,000 shares were issued to project-affected locals in Lamjung District, and 65,000 shares were allocated to Nepalese citizens working abroad. As a result of the IPO, the promoter-public share ratio will be adjusted to 60.45:39.55.
