    Today, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has approved three additional companies to become eligible securities firms, allowing them to conduct operations in the securities market. In the latest phase, Nabil Securities Ltd, Machhapuchhre Securities Ltd, and Mega Stock Markets Limited have been granted brokerage licenses.

    Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ALBSL) has successfully acquired Rastra Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (RULB) and listed an additional 2,600,000 shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). This acquisition was based on a 1:1 swap ratio, and the companies finalized the deal with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 29, 2079. Before the acquisition, RULB had 2,600,000 listed shares, while ALBSL had 3,816,161 shares. The combined entity now has a total of 6,416,161 shares, equivalent to Rs 64.16 Crores in paid-up capital.

    Manakamana Engineering Hydropower Limited is set to release 2,276,620 IPO shares with a face value of Rs 100 each, starting from the 28th of Shrawan, 2080. The initial closing date for the IPO is on the 31st of Shrawan, and if the shares aren’t fully subscribed by then, the deadline could be extended until the 10th of Bhadra, 2080.

    Earlier, the company had offered 800,000 unit shares valued at Rs. 8 crores to locals affected by the project in Dolakha District. However, only 183,380 units (22.92%) found valid takers. Consequently, the remaining 616,620 unsubscribed units from the project-affected locals are combined with 2,000,000 units (25% of the total issued capital, earmarked for the general public), resulting in a total of 2,616,620 units available for the general public.

    The Electricity Regulatory Commission has given final approval to Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) to issue 1 right share for every 2 existing shares held by its shareholders. In its 11th, 12th, and 13th AGM held on 25th Baisakh, the company agreed to provide its shareholders with 50% right shares. The total value of these shares is Rs. 75 Crores, and this issuance will increase the company’s paid-up capital from Rs. 1.50 Arba to Rs. 2.25 Arba.

However, the deadline for project-affected locals in Rasuwa and Nuwakot Districts has been extended until 1st Bhadra. The company has a total issued capital of Rs. 1 Arba, with 10% allocated to project-affected locals in Kaski District and 15% reserved for the general public. Out of the public issue, 10% of shares, totaling 150,000 units, have been set aside for Nepalese citizens working abroad, with the application closing today.

    Currently, there are 34 closed-end mutual funds listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), and 7 open-end schemes are directly traded with their respective fund managers. Among them, the Citizens Super 30 Mutual Fund (30CSMF) has issued its units to the public but is not yet listed for trading on NEPSE. Once it is listed, the total number of schemes will reach 42.

    In today’s trading, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,089.84 points, showing a slight increase of 3.00 points or 0.14% from yesterday’s closing. The day started with the index opening at 2,088.56 and reaching a high of 2,109.29. However, it later dropped to a low of 2,083.92 before ending at 2,089.84. Yesterday, the index had gained 9.25 points.

The trading session saw the index starting at 2,077.58 and reaching an intraday high of 2,086.84. However, it experienced fluctuations during the day, touching an intraday low of 2,062.00 before eventually closing at 2,086.84.

    Synergy Power Development Limited (SPDL) has announced the issuance of its right shares through a public offer letter. The company will be offering existing shareholders the opportunity to apply for additional shares in the ratio of 2:1 (or, 1:0.5). This means for every two shares held, shareholders can apply for one additional share. The application period for these right shares will be from the 25th of Shrawan to the 13th of Bhadra, 2080. SPDL aims to issue 4,032,875 units of right shares, amounting to 50% of the company’s total value, which is Rs. 40.32 Crores.

NIMB Ace Capital will be the issue manager for the share offering. The company had applied for permission to conduct the IPO on the 4th of Asoj.
