    Salt Trading Corporation Limited (STC) has released its second-quarter report for fiscal year 2079/2080, which shows a 47.39% increase in net profit. The company’s net profit increased to Rs. 1.88 crores in Q2, 2079/2080 from Rs. 1.27 crores in the previous year’s corresponding quarter.

    The company’s sales revenue (revenue from operations) fell by 1.63% in the second quarter to Rs. 3.45 Arba, down from Rs. 3.51 Arba in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. In contrast, the company’s other income has decreased to Rs. 1.7 Crores from Rs. 3.7 Crores during the same period last year.

    The second quarter (Q2) of the current FY 2079/80 had a net profit decline of 33.12% for Supermai Hydropower Limited (SMHL). From Rs. 7.50 crores in the same quarter last year, the earnings dropped to Rs. 5.0184 crores this quarter.

    This quarter’s net profit decreased as a result of a fall in sales income and an increase in finance expenses.

    In this quarter, the company generated total revenue of Rs. 13.93 crores, a reduction of 6.27% over the same quarter of the previous year.

    With a share capital of 40 crore rupees, it has a reserve fund of 5.30 crore rupees. Its net worth per share is Rs 113.26, and its yearly earnings per share are Rs 25.09.

    The issue had begun on the 29th of Magh and was scheduled to end on the 3rd of Falgun. Nevertheless, the bank earlier declared in a notification that the deadline will be extended until February 14, although the subscription would expire as soon as it is subscribed. Because the offering is now oversubscribed, the business will shut it today till the end of banking hours.

    The NEPSE index closed at 2,070.41 today after losing 21.15 points from the last trading day’s closing. This is a loss of 1.01%. The index lost 13.90 points yesterday.

    Today the index opened at 2,090.49 and made an intraday high of 2,099.43. It went as low as 2,066.78 and ultimately closed at 2,070.41.

    138,125 additional shares of Unique Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (UNLB) have been listed in NEPSE.

    Ghodighoda Laghubitta (GGBSL) and Unique Nepal Laghubitta signed the merger agreement with each other on Kartik 21, 2077 and endorsed a 1: 0.5 share swap ratio for the merger. Thus, the additional shares after the merger are now listed in NEPSE. UNLB’s total listed shares were 968,200 units. After the merger, 138,125 shares of GGBSL have been added to 968,200 shares, making it a total of 11,06,325 unit shares.

    Global IME Bank Limited has opened public issue of 50 lakh units’ worth of ‘11.25% Global IME Bank Debenture 2084’ from Magh 29, 2079. The issue will conclude on  Falgun 3, 2079 at the earliest and by Falgun 14, 2079 at the latest.

    The par value of the debenture is NRs. 1,000 per unit. From the total 50 lakh units of ‘11.25% Global IME Bank Debenture 2084’, 30 lakh units are allocated for subscription via private placement and 20 lakh units are for the general public, including a 5% quota for mutual funds.
