Arun Kabeli Power Calls 14th AGM with Focus on Hydropower Development

Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) has scheduled its 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 4th Kartik, 2081. The meeting will take place at Hotel Crystal Pashupati in Gaushala, Kathmandu, starting at 11 a.m. on the designated date.

Key agendas for the AGM include the endorsement of the company’s annual report, auditor’s report, profit and loss statements, financial reports, and cash flow reports for the fiscal year 2080/81. In addition, the company will appoint a new auditor and determine their remuneration for the fiscal year 2081/82.

A major highlight of the meeting will be the discussion on the construction of the 37.60 MW Kabeli A Hydropower Project, managed by Kabeli Energy Limited. The project is being financed through a 1:1 rights share issue. Shareholders will also be asked to approve the corporate guarantee provided to Kumari Bank Limited, which is backing the project’s investment.

Additionally, Arun Kabeli Power plans to streamline its assets by selling off old vehicles, motorcycles, and scrap materials, which will enable the company to focus more effectively on its hydropower development initiatives.

The company has set 18th Ashwin 2081 as the book closure date, meaning shareholders who hold shares before this date are eligible to attend the AGM.
