The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a significant surge of 114.70 points (4.57%) today, closing at 2,623.56. This follows a 44.45-point rise in the previous session, continuing the market’s upward momentum.
The NEPSE Index fluctuated throughout the trading day, opening at 2,510.35 points, hitting a low of 2,510.11, and reaching a peak of 2,623.56 by the close.
A total of 307 scrips were traded across 96,906 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 7.61 Arba, with 17,507,555 shares changing hands.
NLG Insurance Company Ltd. (NLG) led the day’s turnover with shares worth Rs. 28.82 crore, closing at Rs. 1,335 per share. Twenty companies achieved the day’s highest gain of 10%.
On the downside, NMB 50 (NMB50) posted the largest loss of the day, falling by 3.86%.
Among the sectors, the Finance Index saw the highest gain, surging 9.74%, while the Mutual Fund Index posted the lowest increase at 1.66%.
