The NEPSE Index rebounded sharply, gaining 78.17 points (2.99%) to close at 2,688.38, reversing the previous session’s 22.73-point decline. The market showed strong upward momentum throughout the day, beginning at 2,625.46 points, hitting a low of 2,604.83, and reaching an intraday high of 2,688.52.
The trading session saw robust activity, with 318 companies traded through 103,462 transactions, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 8.16 Arba. A total of 19,433,154 shares were exchanged during the session. The overall market capitalization reached Rs. 42.74 Kharba, with the float market capitalization recorded at Rs. 15 Kharba.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) led the market in terms of turnover, recording Rs. 47.65 Crore and closing at Rs. 2,240 per share. Five companies posted the highest gains, each rising 10%.
On the downside, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) experienced the steepest loss, falling by 10%.
Sector-wise, the Hydropower Index led the gains, rising 4.24%, while the Mutual Index saw a marginal decline of 0.09%.
