The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,568.11 points, up by 32 points or 1.26% from the previous day’s close. This gain comes after a loss of 27.32 points recorded yesterday.
The trading session began with the index opening at 2,540.14 points. It hit an intraday low of 2,518.47 points and an intraday high of 2,572.88 points before closing at its final value.
Throughout the session, 320 scrips were traded through 159,757 transactions. The total volume of shares traded was 35,594,868, resulting in a substantial turnover of Rs. 14.13 Arba. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 40.74 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.03 Kharba.
Sanima GIC Insurance Limited (SGIC) led the market in turnover, achieving Rs. 34.17 crores and closing at Rs. 735.
In terms of stock performance, three companies recorded the highest gains, each rising by 10%. On the other hand, Miteri Development Bank Limited (MDB) experienced the steepest decline, dropping by 7.65%.
Among sector indices, four ended in the red. The Microfinance Index saw the highest increase at 6.83%, while the Investment Index faced the biggest loss, decreasing by 0.73%.
