NEPSE Index Rises by 23.25 Points, Hits 2,175.40 Mark


The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a notable increase today, rising by 23.25 points, which marks a 1.08% gain, closing at 2,175.40 points. This follows a previous gain of 15.79 points.

The trading day began with the index at 2,162.87 points, hitting an intraday low of 2,160.63 points. The highest point of the day was 2,176.60 points before settling at the final value of 2,175.40 points.

Today’s session saw 322 stocks traded across 72,714 transactions, with a total volume of 15,296,739 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 5.74 Arba, with a market capitalization of Rs. 34.13 Kharba and a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.79 Kharba.

Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) led the market in turnover, achieving Rs. 15.08 Crores and closing at Rs. 1,023.50 per share.

The 10.25% SBL Debenture 2083 (SBLD83) saw the highest surge, hitting the positive circuit with a 10% increase. On the contrary, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) faced a significant loss, dropping by 10%.

In terms of sector performance, only the “Development Bank Index” ended in negative territory with a 0.29% loss. The “Banking Index” recorded the highest gain, increasing by 1.69%.
