The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index rose by 3.79 points today, marking a 0.18% increase and closing at 2,104.22 points. This follows a substantial gain of 47.04 points in the previous trading session. The day began with the index at 2,101.84 points, hit an intraday high of 2,104.38 points, and a low of 2,076.95 points before settling at its closing value.
A total of 314 stocks were traded over 61,199 transactions, resulting in a trading volume of 17,134,082 shares. The total turnover reached Rs. 5.08 Arba, with the market capitalization standing at Rs. 33.36 Kharba and the float market capitalization at Rs. 11.39 Kharba.
Manjushree Finance Ltd. (MFIL) led in turnover, achieving Rs. 23.01 Crores and closing at Rs. 594.90 per share. Central Finance Co. Ltd. (CFCL) and ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) hit the positive circuit for the day, reflecting strong performance in the financial sector.
On the downside, Chirkhwa Hydropower Limited (CKHL) saw a significant loss, dropping by 4.70%. Among sector performances, five sector indices ended the day positively. The “Trading index” recorded the highest sectoral gain of 6.12%, while the “Manufacturing And Processing” sector saw the largest decline, losing 1.07%.
