Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a significant decline of 58.93 points (2.33%), closing at 2,470.39, following a similar drop of 59.02 points in the previous session.
The market showed volatility throughout the day, starting at 2,529.14 points, peaking at an intraday high of 2,547.47, and hitting a low of 2,462.61 before finally settling.
A total of 309 scrips were traded during the session through 77,264 transactions, resulting in a volume of 15,504,929 shares. This trading activity generated a turnover of Rs. 5.68 Arba. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 39.28 Kharba, with the float market capitalization recorded at Rs. 13.82 Kharba.
NLG Insurance Company Ltd. (NLG) led the turnover chart, trading Rs. 18.41 crore worth of shares, closing at Rs. 1,301.
Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (USHL) saw the highest gain of the day, with a 7.83% increase.
On the other hand, Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) registered the biggest loss of the session.
Sector-wise, the Finance Index experienced the steepest decline, down by 4.60%, while the Mutual Fund Index posted the smallest decrease of 0.44%.
