In a day of reduced volatility and turnover, the NEPSE only gains a minuscule 5.28 points to close at 2,633.65 points.
The index began trading at 2,628.68 and has not moved lower since. Even though it reached a high of 2,649.80, it eventually closed at 2,633.65.
It was reported that a total of 5,310,215 shares were traded, with the entire turnover equal to Rs. 2.742 Arba. This represents a decrease from the previous day’s turnover of Rs. 3.089 Arba. A total of 37,585 trades took place involving 223 scrips.
Among the companies with the greatest revenue, Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 14.53 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 1426 per share. The most actively traded units were those of the Global IME Samunnat Scheme 1 (GIMES1).
In terms of technical gains, Nyadi Hydropower Company Limited (NYADI) and Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) both achieved 10 percent gains and crossed the positive circuit breaker today. Meanwhile, ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) suffered the most loss, falling by 5.62 percent.
Four sectors have suffered losses, while the others have finished in the green. While “Hotels and Tourism” suffered the greatest loss (0.55 percent), “Others” experienced the greatest gain (0.95 percent).
